As the title indicates, avoid this “restaurant” at all costs. Went out for a meal for a friend moving to London and the lasting impression this experience has gave him of Aberdeen culinary establishments will haunt him for years. Waiting 30 minutes for a pint...of beer, not ideal. I like beer and don’t like waiting, mark down for me. Heating up at 50 degrees. Good charitable work in a cost of living crisis, however not ideal when you are trying to enjoy a meal. Then we come to the food. Two hours after entering the place, about 1.5 hours after ordering some food still hadn’t arrived. The food that did arrive had all the quality of the proverbial Rustlers burger. Some ate food, some left the restaurant with a belly as empty as the award cabinet at said establishment. Lastly, the pints of god knows what that the waiter tried to serve were an absolute disgrace. Flatter than the runway of Aberdeen airport. Looked like irn bru. Prison food, prison service with a well paid heating bill. As the Quiz host in the Adam Sandler movie Billy Maddison said, “I award you no points, and May god have mercy on your soul.”More

It did not start well. They had canceled our booking with limited notification. However they arranged a table for us all, seven in the party. When the orders started they missed orders and we had to remind and reorder for some of the partisans. Happened...several times during the stay. We had many serving us but it seamed to without control or system. This as they asked the same and still not managed to get the orders correct. Food was OK but not great.More

Food and service were good. Chips portion could be slightly bigger. Didn’t have cocktails this time but they are usually very good. Upsetting that it wasn’t clear on restaurant week menu that there was set times for it - this should be made very clear...next year.More

After wanting to try Jack's Grill for a while, we made sure to book in advance as they are always busy Fri/Sat evenings. Its a great venue with both upstairs & downstairs seating areas, the staff are really friendly always willing to go the extra...mile to make you feel at home. Food is fantastic, highly recommend the Cheese & Bacon Burger or the Steak, most popular dishes here definitely! lovely menu with things like Mac n Cheese, Fajitas, Fish and not forgetting the steak/burgers. Service is always with a smile and quick too, no long waiting times even with it being fully booked. Shoutout to the chef Finlay for the lovely food, cooked to perfection & just how we ordered. Highly recommend visiting Jack's Grill for both lunch and evening meals and with the city centre location, it couldn't of been better.More

I came here last night around 19:00 for dinner. The service was first class. The food was delicious. We had chicken fajitas and haddock & chips and both were cooked to perfection. The bill came to just under £40 for two people which was decent...value for money. They seemed to have good Track & Trace procedures and all the tables were spread out which was good to see. We will definitely come back again, and I would recommend this place to others.More

We popped in a few weeks ago to rest our weary legs and fill our empty tummies after a mornings shopping. We had the car so tragically couldn’t partake in any of the cocktails but had a coke and a smile. We both tried the...burgers which were excellent. Very substantial even for the heartiest of appetites. A goopy drippy cheese sauce - messy but excellent. Tragically not the best photos from me, I blame hunger and messy fingers. We had Mac and cheese on the side too which my partner rated as excellent and she is American so takes this sort of thing very seriously.More

Decided to visit for the first time on a cold wet Wednesday. So glad we did! Delightful surroundings, friendly, knowledgeable staff and fantastic food and drink. We had fillet steak which was so tender and flavoursome. Excellent wine range and amazing cocktails proved to be...a great choice for us. Well done Jacks!!More
