The fish is fresh and the batter is light and crispy. We tried other things but the fish and chips is by far the best thing to have. The service is great and it is a very comfortable place to relax. "Translations" from Scottish to English on each table are fun.

Visited to meet up with a friend at lunchtime. Good location it you're at the Market Street / Castlegate part of town and building has lots of atmosphere. Menu offers a good degree of choice, food is well presented and the service was quick, attentive, pleasant and efficient. Would recommend.

We loved the comfortable chairs, the "club" atmosphere and the quiet. Most other places played the music too loud. The staff was friendly and... More

We ate here twice, fish and chips are great, salmon dinner is excellent as well as the cullen skink soup! Service 7 out of 10. Will definitely visit here again though.

Another Sunday Lunch with Mum and we are not disappointed - from the genuine greeting of the Waitress to the prompt and delicious food and slurpable Rib Shack red wine - this Pub is one of my favourites and highly recommended

This place was truly amazing. We had the full Scottish breakfast and one of these could easily be shared as it was massive! Incredible food. Very nice staff, good prices. The place is nicely decorated and this is easily the nicest place I've visited.
