We was looking for a family lunch and our daughter still needs dairy free options. The fact a kids menu being available was a plus! We arrived and although a little early for lunch the staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They more than accommodated our daughters dietary needs advising that anything on the menu could be made to suit her requirements. Excellent. Our food arrived and it was really tasty. The dairy free fish goujons were a hit, my chicken fillets and fries hit the mark and The wrap & fries were tasty and generous to say the least! Very nice in all respects and I’m sure we will go back.

We had a lovely lunch and felt no rush to leave despite being told when we booked that we only had the table for 2 hours.
The restaurant was really busy and atmospheric even though it was a horrible day!
Good service and good choice of dishes, one of our group asked for something that wasn't on the menu and the chef said it wasn't a problem.
The bill was very reasonable too. Would recommend a visit.

We had dinner for our anniversary last night and it was rather disappointing. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. It went a bit downhill after that. The staff didn’t appear to be very well trained, our waitress had to be prompted to tell us the specials and then she didn’t seem to know about there only being one fillet steak left.
Everyone enjoyed their starters well enough, but the main courses were disappointing . Soggy chips and chewy rump steak! My husband ordered a Gaelic Coffee and when it arrived it was clearly a Latte with a shot of whisky dumped in. I always thought it should be black coffee and whisky with cream floating on top. Again, it made us question the training available to staff.
All in all, it was a very expensive disappointment and left us feeling we didn’t get value for money. We would have gladly paid the price for excellent food and knowledgeable staff.

We always come here for dinner when in Aberdeen. The atmosphere is great and the food and service usually top notch. This time round my wife ordered a lamb and smoked potato rosti main course. It came as three tiny lamb chops and a dark brown, wet, mushy mass of grated potato. The rosti was inedible and should never have been served. There was too little lamb considering the price. My burger with sides of sauce and salad was as good as ever. We told the restaurant manager about the rosti after the meal and she asked if we’d like something to replace it. We said ‘no’ then she removed some items from the bill to compensate- something we would never ask for so were pleasantly surprised.
Restaurant owners like to reply to comments like this saying we should have let them know at the time. That’s fair enough but there are reasons why diners don’t always want to do this. It’s difficult to explain to restaurant owners why diners tend not to complain at the start or in the middle of a meal. I guess it’s because complaining spoils the whole atmosphere of a meal that had been looked forward to. Any replacement food takes 10-15 minutes to serve meaning other diners have finished their food and the complainant then has to eat on their own for ten minutes. It’s also in our nature to try to find the best in the food we’re served even though we may not be enjoying some of it.
I’d much rather chefs didn’t serve sub- standard food to begin with. The rosti should never have left the kitchen in this case.
All in all we really like No 10 and will keep coming. This is the first issue we’ve had in five visits and always look forward to visiting.

We took our precious house guest , the senior Aunty, to No.10 and thought it would be a nice Sunday Roast as a family together. First of all, we were placed in the middle of the bar by the door where the drafts kept my Aunty’s coats on throughout. Our drinks were served in the pint glass muggy with the stains, and the Sunday Roast were having several wrong points:
Half of the beef was so raw in the colour of bright red; we had to quickly swap some of the edible parts of beef from our plates with the Aunty’s to stop the visual unpleasancy of rawness & bloods on her plate.
The potato were rubbery that the knife provided cannot cut through easily. I saw my Aunty struggling in each attempt which has been confirmed by my partner who also had the Sunday roast as the Aunty.
The gravy for the Sunday Roast were more like jus, watery and the flavour were not helping the roast beef as the beef on its own has a strong smell (scent) like aged, used kitchen clothes.
We had to end the Sunday Roast meal short as we can see that to an extend that each bite for the senior Aunty was taken by the suffering facial expression who has the nature to eat whatever in front of her out of politeness. We feel deeply disappointed in this visit to No.10, especially we were hosting an important family to the Sunday Roast. We were gods mocked by how packed the place was that day and wondering if it is the atmosphere that people come here for, since the food and flavour are totally unworthy the menu price they set.

I went there for a meal with a friend to the Botanic gardens and honestly was horrendous. It was freezing cold, staff were very slow and when the food eventually came it was not horrible. Also came in cardboard boxes which were that small it was hard to cut the food especially with plastic cutlery. The food itself was cold and tasted that bad that we couldnt finish it. Very overpriced and overrated. Worse meal I have ever had. Would not recommend and wont be back!

I ate here tonight (Saturday) with the other half. The place was full and we had to book well in advance to get a table. We were running 10 minutes late, and we phoned to let them know, so we’re grateful for them keeping our table for us. I had the Chicken & Haggis and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The missus had the Lemon Sole and she said it was 10/10. The bill was just over £40 for two people which is reasonable for fine dining. The service was very good, the waitress was very attentive and knowledgable, only minor issue was that she didn’t tell us the specials (until we asked) but certainly nothing to complain about. Overall it was an excellent experience and we would love to come back again soon.

We were taking our parents out for an anniversary dinner and wanted something more than just average 'pub grub' but not quite Michelin Star; The menu had a decent selection without there being endless options so No.10 appeared to fit the bill.
We were shown to our table and handed menus, although I had to ask for a vegan menu. Drinks order was taken fairly promptly and we weren't rushed to make our food selection which was great.
Our starters arrived fairly promptly but I can't help feeling a disappointed by mine and my husband with his. I had the cucumber cup with hummus which nothing more than three chunks of slightly hollowed cumcumber with the hummus stuffed inside. In my opinion the hummus lacked in texture and flavour; it was ok but easily forgettable. I don't know what I expected but for £7.50 I expected something just a little more fancy than was presented. My husband had the curried crab and apple which was exactly the same as the vegan cucumber cups; three chunks of cucumber stuffed with a tiny amount of crab that was completely overwhelmed by the flavour of curry powder and there was shell in the crab mixture which isn't great as it should've been checked properly.
My daughter had the chicken satay skewers and said they were tasty, there were no complaints with the haggis bon-bons.
We were given a reasonable amount of time between starters and mains which, again, was good. Mains arrived and portions were decent enough. I had the vegan risotto which was tasty enough but not very creamy or unctuous. Also my daughter's chicken burger was raw. Don't get me wrong, it was taken away, replaced and we weren't charged but it's a piece of chicken?! The stuffed chicken my father in law had looked delicious and he said it was, as was the bbq pulled steak salad my mother in law had and my husband said the fish and chips was good.
All in all we were disappointed by our No.10 experience. The food was a mixed bag as was the service; the guys were great, the girls too busy chatting among themselves.
I think the food is overpriced for what is actually served and I won't be in a hurry to return.

Do not go there, Why I had a reservation on 20th July and when our party turned up they said they could not find our booking, even though I called thrn 5 days in advance.
I told them I would go elsewhere, if they could not find our booking . Then 2 minutes later they found our reservation.
I was with my mum an 80 year old and 2?diabetics we had to wait 45 minutes for our table and another 1 hour 30 mins before they took our order for food. Our food did not turn up to 5 mins before kitchen closure so we ended up with the left over scraps.
Our food order was wrong and the food was left over scraps and was poor quality. I complained to the waiter who said sorry and not much else. The waiter was rude and said he didn’t like our attitude.
The left over food was so terrible and inedible but we had to eat it as well we were so hungry after an 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting time.
If they were to busy they should it have not taken our reservation and turned us away. Considering I called them to pre warn then of an elderly person and that we would be ordering food.
They are a disgrace
They are just after your money, they deliver no service and the food be drink it terrible.
I urge you not to go there

Went for lunch and we were seated in the tent adjacent to the restaurant.
Food was served in cardboard boxes/tinfoil trays (not sure why!) Very disappointing portions and only average quality.
Not sure if the staff were new and needed training, but we had to ask for condiments, cutlery etc.
Won't be back!

We've been regular customers here for quite some time now because its always great food and fantastic service but recently they have really just let go. The food is generally pretty fantastic (although very pricey) but the service has gone completely downhill. We always recommend no.10 to friends and family but recently the service has made us think twice!

Visited for the first time with 3 friends on a very busy Friday night in November. One of our party is gluten free and we'd made them aware of time and had been sent the menus for her. She was very happy and very impressed with the choice that was available to her.
For starter I had the Arancinni which was absolutely one of the best things I've ever eaten. For main I had the fillet steak and requested it rare - it was cooked to perfection.
My friends all enjoyed their food and there was absolutely no complaints.
I would 100% visit again.

Our party thought the food was tasty but the service a bit lacklustre.
We booked to sample the Sunday lunch menu but we were not offered it on arrival and assumed it was a limited menu due to covid restrictions. However, we started to notice everyone around us eating Sunday roasts and so this was quite frustrating. We asked if we could change our order due to not being offered at the beginning and it seemed as though it was hassle even though it was not our fault.
This hasn't put us off returning as the food and ambiance was great, although the staff could do with being a bit more enthusiastic.

Mar 2023 • friends
I visited the restaurant with friends back in March and had been in touch to raise some concerns regarding substandard service but have yet to have a response (even though I was reassured this was being looked in to).
Previously no10 was one of my preferred places to eat in Aberdeen and I was excited to bring some friends however we all left very disappointed. Some of the issues were:
slow service; having to chase staff to make drinks orders several times throughout our visit; missing starter and having to chase staff to ask about this. Our wait for mains was long which wouldn't usually be an issue but the condiments that had been requested at time of ordering were not provided and we had to ask staff 3 further times for these (my friend did not complain but I'm certain her burger must have been cold by this point). After main we were not offered dessert and instead were told we would need to vacate our table within 30 minutes. We were not offered our bill within this time, and 30 minutes later were approached to be informed that the next table had arrived and that would need to vacate immediately. We explained we were yet to receive our bill which was then provided promptly but no questions were asked about how our dining experience was.
The food was nice though slightly pricey for what you get. Previously I was always happy to pay this however given how disappointing the service was I definitely will not be rushing back.
