Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had two steak pie, the steak in my opinion was either frozen or out of date, it was very tuff, as for the drinks asked for a pint of Guinness was told only had it in a can formula obviously a Belhaven consortium I could...not drink it, complained at the time of paying, got zero apology or discount, unhappy and definitely will not be back!More

This isn’t our first time visiting the Townhouse in Arbroath and definitely won’t be the last. From the start, the service from the manager to the service of our waitress Darcy. Was extremely busy, but at no point did we feel forgotten about. Fantastic experience,...fantastic food, fantastic service.More

A good selection of food on the menu for dinner. Very busy so booking recommended. We enjoyed Cullen Skink, the seafood crepe, abd the beef stroganoff. Staff friendly and helpful. Quick service. If celebrating their cocktail tree was very popular.

We popped in here to get out of the rain in Arbroath one day. Glad we did as we really liked the place. Warm welcome from staff and shown to our table. Had only wanted drinks but decided to have a bite to eat. Now,...the highlight of the day was the Cullen Skink amazing. So so tasty and filling. Definitely recommend a visit just to try that aloneMore

We visited on a Friday night as a family of 5, all ages. The service was friendly and personable. We were made really welcome and nothing was a bother. The food was brilliant. Huge portions and all delicious. The cullin skink was tasty and the...burgers thick and delicious. However the star of the dinner was the sticky toffee pudding! The sauce alone was amazing! We enjoyed it so much we went back for our lunch the next day. It was just as impressive and this time we tried out the cocktails - magic! I would throughly recommend here for food and drinks - not to be missed!More

We visited here on a Saturday afternoon for some drinks. We were seated at a nice, big table. The service was great from start to finish. We had cocktails and beers which were all good, and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend for drinks.
