An Italian café side by side with a chip shop in Scotland is rarely to be missed and although there is plenty of choice for dining in Inveraray, we had a yen for some good fish and chips. We were not disappointed. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and although we were told there would be a bit of... More

We stopped by the Royal Burgh Cafe on our visit to Inverary. We had good fish and chips. There was an additional menu on the table which we wished we had seen before we ordered. Check out the desserts in the glass case before you leave.

We had a coffee here on a short stop at Inverary on our journey south on Sunday 13/11/16. It was a cold and wet afternoon and we appreciated the friendly and professional welcome and efficient service from the young male Irish waiter. There were some delicious sounding specials on the board and overall a good menu which we would've enjoyed... More

We arrived a little late but the lady was so obliging, very friendly efficient service and the food was just great and excellent value for the money. A real pleasure to dine there. The young chef delivered some of the food and he was so proud of his creations, well done

The cafe was nearly full but service was excellent. My bowl of Cullen Skink was one of the best I have ever tasted. Should have had a bigger bowl. We had a simple lunch well presented and freshly made with friendly service. Will definitely return.

Great vegetarian pizza and chips. Reasonably priced. Made to order. Good service. Would recommend if you are looking for a tasty bite to eat. Good selection of pizzas made to order. The cafe also has a restaurant where you can sit in.

Just went into this place for a quick snack. Since we had our dog with, we took a seat outside. Lovely weather anyways. We had some really good local beer (Jarl - Fyne Ales), a baked potato to go with and mussels. The mussels were really good - fresh and nicely sized. Beer - as mentioned - really good with... More

Thank you for your review. I'm happy you enjoyed the mussels. they are delivered fresh along with our fish every day. We have had this dish on as a special throughout the summer season and it has been very popular with our customers. Regards Julie More

In need of tea and cake at the end of our visit to Inverary, a group of us tried the Royal Burgh Cafe. Whatever else you order, please do not order tea. We each received a tea bag on top of an upside down cup, followed several minutes later by some hottish water; then a little while later by milk... More
