We had booked well in advance to make sure we could eat here during our stay in Oban. Friendly staff greeted us on arrival and we were taken straight to our table.
This is a very big restaurant and the tables are well spaced out...so that made us feel very covid secure even when the place was busy.
Food-wise we were very impressed, everything we ordered was delicious (prawn bruschetta, salmon & roasted veg and beef ragu pasta). Good selection of wine to go with. Service excellent.More
Our second night in Oban this was the only restaurant we could book into last minute. It did not disappoint, the staff were really friendly & helpful and the food was amazing. My husband had the mussels to start & the scallops for main, which...were both delicious, I had the oven roasted salmon which was also fantastic and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and if ever back in Oban would love to go back to eat there.More
Half expected to get little and pay a lot. However, generous and delicious starters followed by a daily special of an extremely generous portion of lobster and mussel linguine surprised us . Great meal, very nice staff and very pleasant surroundings. Can't recommend enough.
Wonderful food experience on our last evening in Oban. Excellent menu with inspiring infusion of flavours. We started with duo of salmon and jambon, with sautéed potatoes and tiny sweet red peppers. This was followed by lobster and mussel linguine and sea bass on a...scallop risotto. Absolutely delicious! Lovely efficient non-intrusive service. Huge thank you to the team in the kitchen, who worked like a well oiled machine. Also felt very safe, tables well spaced etc. Altogether a wonderful end to our short stay in Oban. We will definitely be back!!More
We had booked a meal from past reviews and were so impressed we booked for our second evening. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. Beautifully presented and extremely tasty. From the salmon, mussels and salad starters to the sea bass, lamb tagine mains to...the sorbet and tiramisu desserts. A great wine selection too. The staff were attentive but not pushy and their covid cleaning could not be faulted. As a family owned restaurant they should be applauded and we would recommend to anyone. I just wish we were locals! Well done to all the staff.More
We booked for lunch as we came in on the train and wanted to take the stress out of the day wandering around finding a restaurant.
Good choice, food was excellent, location is very central and easy to find, literally opposite the entrance to the...station.
Waiting staff were very good, spacious interior albeit a bit dark at lunchtime, probably works better for dinner.
Fish and chips were second to none!More
This place really is a first class dining experience from the initial phone call to the warm goodbye. My first choice to take friends from out of town. Even in this difficult climate the staff always have time to chat and are both professional and...friendly which is much appreciated , you can feel the stress melt away. You can order anything off any of the menus are know it will be good; this time round the homemade soup, mussles, fish of the day, Seabass and salmon to the super tablet ice cream and brownies. Very welcoming to families too which is sometimes hard to find in top end dining places.More
