..will never be found here!! We're frequent visitors to Oban and this seafood hut is one of the main reasons for that. The seafood really is fresh from the boat. It's normal to watch fishermen bringing their catch up to the hut whilst eating there. The fresh seafood is simply and beautifully prepared and served by the super friendly staff.... More

This is a find and a must. Four star seafood in the most authentic setting you will find. Right at the docks, baskets of seafood being delivered from the boats, and no nonsense cooks and servers who have done this for years, who else could provide a tray of seafood for two for 15 pounds, less than $20?

If you love seafood, but you are always concerned about the price, that is your place! It looks basic but it is one of the most delicious places ever! The only downside is that it could get quite busy.

I have been all over the world and I got to say making a trip to OBAN is a must eat at this place. Nothing fancy, very simple and you eat standing up. It is worth every effort to try this place and enjoy the BEST seafood and VERY reasonable cost. Try the platter for two even if you are... More

Visit 1. Mussels in white wine and garlic plus a seafood platter for one. Visit 2. (three days later) Seafood platter for two. If you know of the seafood restaurant at Kishorn, just outside Loch Carron, then you'll love the Oban hut. Just needed a glass of cold white wine.

Had to come back and eat hear again after sampling the food last year. Prices have risen a little but hey that's inflation for you. Platter for 2 is now £14 but come on that's a bargain when compared to what some restaurants are charging near by. We also tried half a dozen oysters, very fresh and shucked perfectly and... More

We have stopped off here 3 times now and on each occasion the food and service has been great. Not the place to eat in but the sandwiches and fish to go are superb.

I just needed something to eat while waiting for a ferry to Barra. The queues suggested that this place might be good. I had a smoked salmon sandwich, nothing fancy, no artisan bread ( was Kingsmill) but was made fresh with salad and a generous helping of their own delicious flaky smoked salmon. This, and a can of ginger beer... More

This place was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel. She insisted we look for the seafood place with the green awning. It was easy to find and what a find. The menu was plentiful, the seafood was right off the boat, and the preparation was fantastic. I chose their shrimp salad sandwich which was out of this world. Their... More

I always say I can have a fish supper at my local.... but today I had a seafood feast. Fresh caught, lovingly prepared, all local served up by friendly staff. I would travel 360 miles round trip again for this feast, Seafood Platter for 2, and great value....
