This cafe could do with a freshen up, the cakes are lovely and not expensive, a nice welcome would make a big difference, and a smile.

Slow service and not the friendliest of places if you not local. Very clean and toilets available. No pushchairs allowed inside due to narrow spaces between tables which is fair enough.

We were the only people in yet it still took fully 45 minutes for our tea and toasties to arrive. Service horribly slow, unwelcoming and food distinctly average.

Fairly typical cafe- basic and clean. Noticed a wheelchair friendly table just inside the door. Only wanted a cuppa and it was very good, served by a grumpy looking man with a lovely smile when he spoke.

Peebles has plenty of hotels and restaurants where you can get a full meal, but if you want traditional cafe fare served with a smile then look no further than the Tatler. Situated at one end of the Main Street, we found their filled rolls, sandwiches and coffees were fresh and filling. Any soft drinks were ice cold from the... More

Not much of an atmosphere here and waiter was not very chatty, but the sandwiches we ordered were served quickly and tasted really fresh. Coffee was also good. Clean toilet, always impresses me! We enjoyed the food we had here and it was not expensive.

So I didn't check trip advisor before eating here as I couldn't get reception 😞 We ordered soup and the guy behind the counter grunted 'No Soup' So We ordered toasties which took ages and were served with limp salad and 'green' crisps My daughters fish fingers were dripping in fat And the tea bags must be waterproof as no... We went for a quick bite today, and to be honest wasn't the best welcome I have had. Fancied the soup but to be told like many during our time there that there were none available. Ordered our food and paid upfront for it,which in hindsight is a joke, as the time we waited made it impossible to just leave.... More
