Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dropped in for a quick lunch and had the most amazing Fajita Chicken Stew with artisan bread - one of today's specials. A colourful warming bowl of spicy complex flavours, just perfect for a dull October day. Balance between taste and spice was perfect. Other...items on the menu were tempting - but this was a great choice! Staff are very friendly and efficient in this cafe - would wholeheartedly recommend it!More

Such a friendly place! It's not very often you go to a cafe and get offered free birthday cake! But that's the kind of place the Stove is. A good choice of vegan dishes too. I had the falafel, humus, avocado and siracha toastie with...lemon slaw. Delicious! Not only is the Stove a cafe It's a social hub with an extensive events programme; films with Q & A, arts and history sessions plus regular Climate Kitchens and Repair Shops. And the music's not too loud too.More

First class cafe in Town centre of Dumfries with plenty of space. Dog friendly which is great for us. Friendly helpful staff. Good menu, mainly snack types but suits us. We had coffee and toasties which were great. If nearby pop in.
