After a walk in the woods, we had a cream tea here and it didn't disappoint! Lovely scones with clotted cream, fresh strawberries and lashings of jam, yum! Very reasonably priced too. Lovely!

We received a lovely welcome that made us feel that they were pleased to see us. So glad we found this wee gem - lots of choice on the menu from coffee n cake to sandwiches or full meals. The terrace is a lovely place...More
We have always looked forward to coming to the mill for coffee and scones - on a sunny day there is nowhere better to sit on the terrace and look for the kingfishers on the river. However this year the atmosphere was very awkward...there was...More
Decided to have refreshments in the Tart n Tea and was left dissapointed on this visit. We had visited some 6 weeks previously and as such had no hesitation to return. The coffee was nothing special and the chocolate cake I had was dry and...More
I am sorry you had a less than satisfactory visit to Tart n' Tea especially as the previous time was so different. I do not know why the coffee and chocolate cake were so different as we use the same products all the time. Not...More
One of the few outside eateries in the area that has a sunshine terrace. Food is lovely and service excellent.

A very competent eatery - good menu choice, lots of range so vagaries of taste and allergies can be accommodated. Service is pretty good, though can be stretched when busy. For our large party staying locally, it became the standard lunch time venue.
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review for Tart n' Tea and we were all happy that you enjoyed the experience and commented so favourably. Pat Jacques
We went here because I found it on the Internet and it said dog friendly and family run. We had drinks and cakes mid afternoon and sat outside with lots of other dog owners! The scones were good, but the lemon meringue pie was not...More

It not easy entertaining a 9 year old boy in Gatehouse, however, I took my son to Tart n' Tea at the Mill on the Fleet for a spot of lunch and I must say WOW!!!! Not only was the food excellent, but the staff...More
