We popped in for breakfast today after coming across the cafe on TripAdvisor - and we are glad we did. The wee sheds outside are lovely, particularly on a day like today. We stopped by for a coffee after walking round the delightful nature reserve half a mile away. Morning of a wedding, friends were having brunch. Place was busy. They said we were OK for coffee, but the place was really busy late morning. I can...see why they ask for bookings or at least to be seated. Decided we would pop back for breakfast the next day, in at 0900, several around and they gave us one of the outside pods - glazed huts. Service was well paced and friendly, I ordered poached eggs on black pudding and crumpet. Mrs T ordered scrambled egg on sourdough. Tea was proper leaf tea in a pot, her coffee was freshly made. Portions were very generous. Top Tip - either book, or wait to be seated 😇More

Went in and sat outside and daughter went to get menu to get told oh you have just seated yourself ' I will have to check my bookings then snippy voice to a young girl we did not know you had to book a cafe...for outside as it was quiet at that time. We could not see sign to say wait to be seated as it was inside the women making tea's as coffee seemed stressed and had not a nice manner to staff and my daughter will not be back young girls were very nice and friendly though not the womenMore

Had a lovely Brunch with my wife. Our dishes were total opposites. She had Salmon, scrambled egg on Gluten free toast and mine was 2 Belgian Waffles smothered in cream, Nutella and Oreo crumbs. If it hadn’t been so busy would have licked the plate....Home with a couple of Gluten Free cakes equally scrumy.More

What an amazing Afternoon Tea our some of our Choir had today. We had the whole room to ourselves. Nothing was too much bother, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding, and great value. Would definitely recommend,and will be back.

We went on an Itison deal. I wasn’t expecting much but WOW, how wrong was I! Friendly welcome. They catered for my Vegetarian/ Gluten free needs. Lovely explanation of how afternoon tea worked. Menu cards were a great touch. I had sandwiches, falafel x4 and...5 mini cakes. My Husband had sandwiches, sausage roll, cakes and a scone. Unlimited tea. Service was great and we gave a tip. I knocked a point off for it being cold and I had to keep my coat on. It would appear the radiators are small and I’m not sure if they were on? We would highly recommend and will return very soon.More

I had the full Scottish breakfast and what a feast it was , absolutely delicious in every way , my wife had the stack and she enjoyed it very much too , we will definitely be back

Visited with my mother for afternoon tea with an ITISON voucher. The food was excellent, well filled sandwiches, sausage roll, seafood cocktail in a small glass, scone with lovely jam and cream, plus another 4 cakes. Cakes not too big and vgood variety. All attractively...presented.More

Just been here for afternoon tea and once again we were not disappointed. Everything served was just lovely. The sandwiches were so full and tasty. There was just enough of everything and left feeling full! Staff are very attentive and we were even remembered from...our last visit that must have been about 10 months ago.
