This seems to be a very busy small restaurant that includes covered outside seating, We stopped in for a late lunch and we’re lucky to get a table as we hadn’t booked. They had a great light lunch selection of sandwiches which we chose from and they were all excellent with ample fillings and sides. The coffee and tea was fine. The service was really good from all the staff we met. They also do a great cake selection which unfortunately we couldn’t sample as the sandwiches were so filling. Prices were very reasonable based on the quality of the food. Worth a visit but might be wise to book. Parking nearby is limited.

Just so good. We got afternoon tea boxes for a friends baby shower gathering and they were all individually wrapped and boxed. Everything tasted lovely and it was priced so well. Will 100% recommend and will definitely be back!

Came here for a post lockdown catch up with a friend for Afternoon tea. As per normal the Post House did not disappoint......... A lovely presented afternoon tea, which came with sandwiches, a salad pot, sausage roll and a huge selection of bite sized cakes. The scones were to die for!! This place has totally nailed providing great food and community throughout Covid 19 and lockdown and would highly recommend a visit in person or for a take away! Thanks

I ordered 10 afternoon teas for a virtual Christmas lunch. Each persons lunch came in an individual portion and the selection was fab and the sandwiches, savouries and large selection of cakes all tasted amazing. Staff were friendly and I would highly recommend and will definitely be using again for future personal and business lunches.(forgot to take a photo as I was too quick to dive in and eat it)

Afternoon Tea for 3 delivered to us today. Beautifully presented, all our individual requirements catered for and each presented on an individual platter accompanied with a menu. Lovely selection of tasty treats. Couldn’t be happier. We will definitely order again.

Staying in Dundee and popped here for breakfast based on the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The menu is fantastic with lots of choice and the prices are competitive. All the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient - service was excellent. Our order was freshly cooked and delicious - poached eggs on toast and waffles with bacon and maple syrup. I’d highly recommend this lovely cafe if in the area and I look forward to returning sometime. Thank you.

I received a phone call from the Post House yesterday to let me know that they will be delivering something to us for lunch today. I was surprised and intrigued because there was no special occasion to celebrate and I could not think of anyone who would send us food. When the delivery arrived, I immediately looked at the note, curious as to who our mystery sender was. It was a very thoughtful gesture from my friends in Manila who called and arranged to thank me for the project that we have been working on together this last 33 days. The food was delicious! You can tell that it was home made because it was all freshly made. It was like having Scottish Tapas - sandwiches, bite size Pork Pies, Sausage Rolls, a mini Scone with Strawberry Jam and Cream, an Orange Slice, Brownies, and many other goodies! All the food was presented in individual packaging. Thank you!

We had a voucher for afternoon tea here. We like to visit various places around Scotland for this and wondered how a small café in a suburb of a busy city would fare. We were not disappointed. We were immediately shown to a lovely table and our drinks order was taken. My husband doesn’t really drink tea so ordered a latte. We were informed that this would cost extra, which we weren’t made aware of on the conditions printed on the voucher (I checked). A bit unfortunate as not everyone likes tea. The food, however, was amazing when it arrived. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. There was a good range of sandwiches, lovely sausage rolls and two fantastic pork pies topped with cranberries. I don’t really like pork pies but these were scrumptious. There were also tiny, warm scones with jam and cream, two small glass jars with a fabulous lemon concoction - to die for and various other cakes. Everything was exactly the correct size for afternoon tea, fresh and well made. This is a real gem of a find. We’ll definitely be back.

A last minute decision for breakfast based on proximity, after the place I had decided to go was unexpectedly closed. It was very busy here, but luckily there was a table available for an hour. At first I was worried about the coffee, it was an odd mid-brown colour, yet I needn't have worried, it was really good. Then the breakfast itself - the quality of the ingredients was superb, especially the bacon and the sourdough toast, it was an excellent start to the day. I can thoroughly recommend eating here, and would suggest booking a table to avoid being disappointed.

Had the boozy brunch yesterday and it was lovely. We were in one of the pods which was great as it was a lovely sunny day, even though it was a bit windy. Couldn’t fault the staff one bit. Very chatty, making sure we had everything we needed and just making us feel welcome. We both had the Hebridean, 2 poached eggs on black pudding, muffins and hollandaise sauce and it was really good. Plenty of ingredients to make a good few cocktails and a little cocktail menu to help you out! A pot of tea was had aswell ( by hubby as he was driving) 😀 we also couldn’t leave without a buying a cake.

We were just passing and decided to pick up a take away coffee. Asked if they had anything gluten free, expecting the usual puzzled look and offering of something vegan or vegetarian instead 🙄 “ Yes of course “ came the reply, they had several freshly made cakes and brownies. Needless to say we stayed for lunch, soup, sandwiches, cakes and coffee. It was all delicious, staff were helpful and friendly, we will definitely be back.

Made a telephone booking yesterday morning for the pod at 12.30 When I arrived the staff were talking amongst themselves and over heard my surname. I chirped up that was me and was met with unfriendly mumbles...... turned out they had cancelled my booking by mistake. We were given an inside table, service was fast food was delicious but as soon as we finished our main we were asked to leave as the table was booked ...so no coffee and cake for us. I go to post house whenever I can, I have bought vouchers as presents and encouraged others to go.... will think twice about going back 😑

Visited for brunch with a friend yesterday. Despite having a table booked, it took 15 minutes for us to be seated. The food was absolutely excellent however the service was very slow. As a result we felt rushed as we knew the table was needed back as, as soon as we had finished eating, we were asked to pay. This put a dampener on what would have otherwise been a lovely experience. I totally understand that tables are booked and need returned but it was not our fault that it took 15 minutes from us arriving to be seated which then had a knock on effect on the rest of the service. We plan to return as the food was lovely, and hope that the service is less rushed next time.

Went for afternoon tea. Booking very easy, service very good. Afternoon tea comprised sausage roll (delicious), scone with jam and cream, mini prawn cocktail and selection of sandwiches and cakes. All very tasty and very filling. Choice if eating inside outside or in outside shed.
