Yummy roasted beetroot, herby goat cheese , rocket leaves and balsamic dressing in a toasted ciabatta today. Great, friendly service and lovely hot coffee too. I don't usually make it here because it's always closed by the time I'm finished work at 4pm. So has to Saturdays for me.

I love visiting family-run/independent cafes....and my visit to this one was made all the more special by its quirky, vintage-ness! China teacups and saucers, and a cute teapot with its own unique cosy!....my tea was of course accompanied by a delish fruit scone (it was neck n neck between this and the banana and nutella scone 😍, cosied up with... Wonderful, quirky Tea Shop, slightly off the main drag, but well worth a visit. Food served in mismatched china adds a charming air to the food. Fabulous selection of teas, coffees and cakes - lots of gluten-free options available. Suitable for 8 - 80 yrs. Loved it.

My hubs and I adore coming to this cafe. The menu is scrumptious and the changing specials are innovative and full of flavor. Don't miss this gem whether for a meal or Tea and Cake 😊 The owner is hands on and incredibly welcoming. Tea and Cake is worth walking down to Exchange from the centre for a wee getaway... More

My husband, my daughter and myself went in for tea and cake. My cake was inedible just a lump of sugar no taste, and my daughters tasted 'funny'. The only cake edible was my husbands fruit scone which did look good and the tea was good. But we will not be back. The staff didn't seem to be very approachable.... More

Tea and cake is a beautiful little cafe in Dundee. It was a pleasure to visit with friends. The chocolate frappe was AMAZING! My friends also enjoyed their coffee. Less cakes on offer than I expected. Atmosphere was good and the music was uplifting.

Thanks so much for your comments Kirsten, glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and our offerings, likewise you've made us look closer at the play list selections we have in the Café, we've always felt the music is very important and you've verified that for us, we'll be sticking with the upbeat and uplifting from now on, thanks! We visited for lunch last week as my wife is coeliac and the web suggested here. We had a superb lunch from a good menu, atmosphere is excellent, mine host and staff very friendly and knew their food. Try the ' Shakshuka' a N African dish, was the best lunch I've had for a long time.

Thanks so much for your kind words and such great feedback, great to hear your comments on staff and atmosphere, equally as important as the food and drinks. The Shakshuka is one of my husband favorites so of course it had to be added to the menu, glad it hit the spot for you! Hope to see you back again... More
