Came here for my husband's birthday with his family - I had asked for a couple of bottles of prosecco to be on the table when we arrived. Upon arrival I was delighted at the décor as the place is clean and pretty with an authentic Italian feel. We were seated quickly and the prosecco was already chilled at the table and the lovely staff immediately popped and poured everyone's glasses. Every table was full so it did take some time for our orders to be taken but the staff were very friendly and attentive thereafter for topping up glasses and taking further drinks orders. The menu looked incredible and there was a huge selection of tempting dishes, and I'm delighted to say that everyone enjoyed their selection immensely. Most of us ended up taking away doggy bags as we were so full but didn't want the food to go to waste! Between the friendly staff, the incredible food, and the atmosphere, it all came together to make the evening very enjoyable and everyone was singing the restaurant's praises as we left. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend them to friends and family in the future!

Consistently great food and service, we visited on Wednesday for my birthday and had a brilliant time. Also just seen they have offers on a Tuesday and Thursday which make it a very cheap meal so will be visiting more regular. Its a good price anyway but with the discounts it would be rude not too.

My first visit here and can’t thank the staff enough for making my granddaughters birthday meal so special. Including my grandson in the delivery of the cake was appreciated and everyone single member of staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was delicious and the festive menu was very reasonably priced for such a good selection. Looking forward to a return visit

We wanted a quick, good value meal of good quality as we had a meeting at 7pm. What we got was outstanding! Quick, pleasant service of excellent food( Panzanella Salad, very good indeed, Lasagne and Pizza Quatro Stagione) fully met our expectations, and the value was excellent with a Pasta/Pizza deal of 2 for £18

Visited with two 10 year olds. Arrived at opening time. Hadn't booked so wouldn't have minded it they couldn't have accommodated us... But they did... Squeezed us in. Loved it.
Good was real!y good - except the sqid. That was a case of less would have been more. The veal was real and yum.
We mixed it up a bit - from the Children's menu (one of the 10 year old's was a first time in a lovely restaurant), starters and menu proper. I asked if they could just bring out our food as it was ready.
They humoured us and for more scrummy food than we could eat, pasta, garlic bread, veal, chips (I know, but the kids wanted), squid (not brilliant), veal (brilliant) and drinks... Including wine for me, was just over £40. Brilliant value.
Service and ambience perfect. Xx

This is the best restaurant in Kilmarnock for first of all it’s amazingly delicious food and secondly for it’s amazingly friendly staff. We love everything about it. We’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and it never fails. 20/10!

I can't remember how long we have been having our annual family dinner at Cafe da Vinci and this year we had our youngest great grandson with us .the staff went above and beyond in their service and the food was amazing we have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and they never disappoint. The food they staff and the ambiance of cafe da vinci is second to none.xx

I visited here with my parents, brother, sister-in-law and my fiancé to celebrate my brothers graduation and our engagement. The service was first class as always and the food was delicious. We were made so welcome amidst a busy restaurant and congratulated by the lovely waitress who served us. She was very chatty and just so pleasant. The food was delicious and extremely reasonable. Had an amazing night at cafe da Vinci once again. It never fails!

I have been to Cafe Da Vinci many times and have never been disappointed. So thought would leave a review to say how much we all enjoyed our meal the other night yet again. It was absolutely delicious, service was spot on, and the atmosphere was great. I have dined there as a couple, in small and large groups and always received first class service and excellent meals. We were there for my husband's birthday in Aug, 20 people at one long table. Staff very accomodating, by allowing me to drop balloons, decos, and cake off earlier in the day. Everyone's meal was delicious, and service was just right.

The past couple of trips to Kilmarnock, I've had an evening meal out here with family. I love the ambience of the place. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is welcoming and relaxed, with lots of little touches that really gives the impression that they take hospitality to the highest level. The staff are fantastic; Erin, the young waitress who served our table on the first trip even remembered us on the next visit roughly a month later. She was really friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and extremely patient with our many requests and questions. Service was consistently good, by all staff on both visits and nothing was too much trouble.
The food.... ohhhh the food. Fave starter is the panzanella, but the gamberoni aglio my mum had was lovely too. Both times I had the linguine al gamberoni and I loved it that much, I'll probably have it again on my next visit. Desserts (tiramisu and affagato) were delicious, but the portion size of the starter and the main meant I was about to burst and there wasn't actually enough room left to really enjoy the sweet course. I'm still going to order a sweet on the next trip, but to take out (if they do that?) because they really are sublime.
Drinks menu was fantastic - extensive and varied. I'm still working my way through the cocktail list and plan to reasearch it thoroughly ;)
Another bonus point: you can park right outside the door, which is great, because by the time you've finished stuffing your face (and wishing you'd worn something with an elasticated waistband), you'll not feel much like walking anywhere.
I can't recommend this place enough. Staff, food, cleanliness etc all top notch.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and excellent service. This is how this small restaurant, hidden in the heart of the city, looks like. I highly recommend it to any fan of southern cuisine and not only. Professional service will take care of the smallest detail, and customers will remember this experience for a long time. We have eaten at Da Vincis several times; and since we last reviewed it in 2010, the consistency has gone. The food is still mostly fine and the service friendly, but our most recent visit was indicitve of what occaissionally happens, it's just not quite right.
On this occaision, the pizzas were so sloppy that the toppings barely stayed on the base and none of us, my wife, myself or our 11yo son enjoyed them. Will we go back, probably, but when you drop £100+ for starters, pizza and a bottle of wine, it has to be better.

I regularly visit Kilmarnock to see the team play and I have enjoyed my meals at Cafe Da Vinci. The restaurant is clean and friendly, and the home made food is delicious and well priced. I will certainly make a point of visiting again next time I am in town.
There are so many chains these days that it is great to find a small and friendly restaurant which cooks such lovely food. On this occasion I dined on my own, but I have previously been here with my cousin and we both enjoyed our meals.

I celebrated my 80th Birthday at Cafe da Vinci in Kilmarnock, a dozen of us in total. The quality of food across all courses and varieties was excellent, and the service was attentive and faultless throughout. It is an evening which will live long in my memory, and I cannot thank Cafe da Vici enough for helping to make it such a special evening. The one negative was that a couple of us found our main courses a little too salty; but that was a minor observation on food which was consistently excellent. The tiramisu deserves especial mention. Thank you to all the staff, chefs and others who contributed to a wonderful evening.

Have been visiting Kilmarnock for over 20 years and for some reason have never been here before despite hearing about it from wife & inlaws. Me and the wife went for lunch on our most recent visit and had an amazing value lunch with lovely food, the tempura broccoli was great as was all the food we had. we then returned later in the week for dinner with more of the family and had yet another great meal, the black pudding fritters were outstanding. We will now be visiting every time we are back. Thanks
