Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We ordered a takeaway from here whilst on holiday in Edinburgh via just Eat. Great menu and order placed . You can design your own pizza or have a standard one off menu or add to standard pizza.
It was a Saturday night so expected a bit of a wait food time given of one hour 20 mins. Food turned up after a hour . All piping hot. You can tell pizza made from good quality ingredients and all were fab also liked calzone.
Chocolate brownie one of the best I have had. Great service and food.

Best food I have eaten this year! That's all I need to say really; I had the mezze board for 1 and a drink which is brilliantly priced considering all the food was cooked fresh and prepared on site.
The flatbread was to die for as were the the array of dips and grilled halloumi. The fafel was also delicious along with the beautifully tasty salad.
Even though I was full after the first course I had to try something else on the menu so the chef recommend another dish with chorizo and flatbread and dips as it was just as good as the first.
Given it is the first time I have eaten out post lockdown the procedures made me feel very safe. Antibac available, good distancing between tables etc.
Highly recommended and looking forward to come back next time I am in Edinburgh.

We had a great visit to Eden’s kitchen, the service is very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a large window to watch the world go by. They serve exceptional quality ingredients prepared and cooked perfectly. We had a pizza and a gondola pizza along with a salad. All were delicious. The pizzas are all cooked in the restaurant which is nice to see too. It has to be one of the best places I’ve eaten and definitely worth a visit if you are in Edinburgh. Thanks Eden’s kitchen!

We ordered the mezze “banquet” for 2 for £21 and what arrived was far from a banquet. 4 small dips, a small thin flatbread and some really tiny portions of hot dishes that were cold on delivery.
The meatballs were tiny, burnt and we got one each. The garlic sausage was like the scraps of a sausage. A small bit of falafel each and a tiny pastry. The food was bland and tasteless. Shockingly small portions and poor quality. The pictures say it all.
Delivery was £3, it arrived on time but was stone cold.
Emailed the restaurant to complain but they ignored it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend a restaurant that treats customers like that, firstly in sending out portions like that and then ignoring a complaint.

Had shared mezze starter, then chicken pizza and a chicken wrap. Lovely food, brilliant service. No wine, but there is an off licence a couple of doors up and they volunteered to give a 10% discount on my saying where we were eating, in fact they raved about the restaurant and what their favourite was there (a little late, as we'd already ordered!).

The food was good and great value, however, the meal was ruined by very rude owner/chef. We were a table of 6 and the owner didn't like that we took a while to order. They took away plates before all of us had finished our starters and main coursed. We were then told we had to leave in 15 minutes even though there was no additional booking for the table. When we asked why there were so keen for us to leave they said that all tables were only allowed for 2 hours, despite there being other people who had been there longer. We were regular customers prior to this event but won't be returning.

Pre theatre meal. Restaurant was pretty quiet so had our pick of tables. Restaurant best described as bistro style. Extensive menu and a kids menu too. You can bring your own wine or beer for a wee corkage fee. Food was fresh and tasty no microwave pings! We had the rice pudding to finish the meal and it was sooo good! Will be back!

Just finished eating and it was so good that I wanted to review it straight away! Ordered a half and half pizza and garlic bread with cheese. You could taste genuine good quality ingredients and it didn't feel like a greasy takeaway in any way. Great place.

We just had our dinner here, they kindly found us a table even though it was very busy and we turned up without a booking. The menu is a good mix of veggie, vegan, and meat, and we had a mixture of starters and then all four of us went for wood fired pizza for the main.
Lovely and crispy, great taste, pretty much all got eaten apart from a few slices which have come back with us.
It is a small place but comfortable, friendly and would happily eat there again any day. thank you

We visited Edens kitchen yesterday prior to our big day of rugby. The quality of the food served here more than made up for the cancelled rugby!
Fresh flavours of the Mediterranean on every plate; pizzas, lamb and meatballs were all great. Relaxed friendly service and BYOB means that the prices are very reasonable.

As we’re only up on Edinburgh for an overnighter and heading back home tomorrow, we’re basing our stay pretty much around the vicinity of the hotel we’re stopping at.
The other half spotted this lovely little restaurant just around the corner and, based upon the photos of the pizzas alone, decided that’s where we should eat this evening. They just look “right”.
Having visited Amalfi and passed through Napoli last year, we’ve been really picky about pizza since coming home. Some of the scone-based slop passed off as “pizza” in the U.K. is an embarrassment to the name!
We started with a couple of old favourites of beer battered calamari and halloumi, served with lovely warmed flat breads and tzatziki and salad. This is the real deal people. Chunky and creamy stuff you want to dive in to. But that was just the entrees.
We both plumped for the anchovy pizza (12”) and, well, it was just perfect. I mean, perfect. Proper clay oven fired, thin base, beautifully balanced topping to base ratio, olives that literally pop with flavour, everything you want your pizza to be. Indeed, “that’s the best one I’ve had since we were in Napoli” was said….. and you know, it actually was.
Just lovely.
Even the coffee to finish just tasted right.
Lovely people are running Eden’s Kitchen and from the small yet perfect formed menu we sampled only a few things from, they REALLY know what they’re doing.
Go, throw them your money and make yourselves really happy at the same time.
We will return.

This is a very pleasant little place with friendly service and a surprisingly large menu. Everything we had was delicious with standouts being the Lamb Tangine, avocado salad, and Gondola pizza with Chorizo. Not fancy at all but a real treat - three of us ate for £50 and we were stuffed.

Had dinner at Eden’s Kitchen with a couple of friends recently and was very impressed with both the food and the service!
Authentic Mediterranean food, cooked fresh to order as well as cosy and inviting decor. Service staff also very accommodating and pleasant.
Will be back again!

We really enjoyed our meal here. Starters of Hummus and Tzatziki with breads followed by a couple of pizzas and a couple of Calzones. Everything was delicious.
We were there on a Saturday night and got there for 5:45 and by 6:30 it was quite busy so would suggest booking.

Had dinner here with the family.
It is a small Restaurant with just 2 or 3 staff, but has a lovely atmosphere and is very friendly.
They have a varied menu and some good vegan choices. They also were happy to talk about the choices.
All the food was delicious, and the plates we saw going to other people's tables also looked great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here in this relaxed and charming place, and will not be surprised if we end up back again very soon!

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
