Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came with another couple for a midweek dinner. We decided to go for the set menu which was a good idea. Plenty of food and nice to try so many different options. The starter selection was particularly good. Only slight issue was the noise...level in the restaurant. It was full and the 4 of us struggled to hear each other over the loud voices at other tables.More

Disappointing. Waiter was really intrusive and disturbed our conversations frequently. The green curry was very poor with very little flavour - ironic, given the waiter checked we were OK with hot food. We agreed that it was a mediocre meal at best.

First night we ate in Edinburugh and it didn't fail to deliver. The food was piping hot and very tasty. We had prawn and satay chicken starters and then followed by mains. A lovely penny curry was so much flavour. The pad Thai was slightly...too spicy for me, but my husband loved it as it had a little kick to it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

We had the set menu for 4 which was very high quality and fantastic value. There was a good variety offered, as well as plenty to eat. Probably one of the best Thai meals I have tasted. Exceptionally friendly staff

We couldn't get reservations but ordered take away. They were very friendly on the phone and had to food ready quickly and right on time for us to walk there and take back to our Airbnb. The place was crowded when we picked up our...order, and looked a bit tight, but everyone looked happy. We had red curry chicken, chicken satay and vegetable spring rolls. All were excellent! I'd definitely go here again if ever in Edinburgh again.More

Best Thai we’ve had outside Thailand (and we’ve had a lot)! Every dish was delicious and the Thai iced tea was amazing. We were lucky and managed to get a walk in table early evening. Can’t wait to go again when next in Edinburgh!

The food here was really good but I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and it arrived blue. When I said that it was undercooked to the server she took it back and it came out well done.

Chaophraya was our favourite Thai restaurant in Edinburgh, but after a very disappointing visit there last year we decided to give Nok’s Kitchen a go. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and so was the service. It doesn’t have the ambiance of Chaophraya...but the food is superior. Unfortunately they don’t do any cocktails and the wine list needs improvement.More

Panang curry and the pad Kraprao was the best ever, and they have Singha on draft. Super dialed in and highly recommend. Staff very friendly, attentive, and courteous.

This was my second visit as so enjoyed it the first time. It was a lot busier this time, even although it was a Monday, and the chatter noise was a bit loud as it all echoed. Other than that, the food was again delicious...and the service was good. Staff were very friendly too. An excellent experience apart from the noise.More

Yes - and they want it paid in cash, per the printing on the bottom of the bill and two verbal requests from the waiters to do so.
