Went with friends recently and enjoyed the visit. The food was tasty and service was good - we generally enjoyed the experience.

My daughter and I were on a short trip to Edinburgh and while we were hesitant to going to a French restaurant over a Scottish one, we were very happy that we “gave in”. The food was lovely (We had the ox cheeks and surprise...calamari) and the atmosphere was very cozy. When leaving the restaurant I forgot my eye glasses on the table which I only realised after I got back to Sweden and the restaurant was very helpful in getting them sent to me. I will for sure go back to Maison Bleue next time I’m in Edinburgh!More

Was a delight to return to this fabulous restaurant for dinner. The food was sublime and the service friendly and attentive. I had a goats cheese pastry for starter which was out of this world and my husband and son shared calamari which they remembered...from a previous visit and was every bit as good as they remembered. Main courses were mussels and frites for my son, venison casserole for me and fish of the day for my husband ... all expertly cooked and delicious. Beautiful surroundings and a perfect city centre location. Highly recommended.More

So happy to return to this fabulous restaurant for lunch earlier in the week. Superb choice of menu and faultless service by Marilyn. The creme brulee polished off a fabulous 3 course lunch. Highly recommend and will haste us back!

What a fantastic all round experience. We visited on a Monday with no reservations, although the restaurant was very busy Amy and her team made sure we had a brilliant night after our reservations for another restaurant had been cancelled. Although the restaurant was busy...we were relaxed and well tended too. The menu is divine! There are so many options and fantastic wine options. Amy helped us pair wines from their menu and choose between different dishes. It’s clear the staff were just as excited about our meal as us. The food was perfectly prepared and the other girls serving really looked after everyone. We really enjoyed being in this beautiful building, eating fabulous food and the energy your staff bring is just as beautiful! Bravo Maison BleueMore

The food was exceptional. We were served by Danny who was great with the recommendations. We went for the 3 course meal and the options for both continental and Asian fare turned out to be great. The ambience of the place was amazing as well....One of the best meals in EdinburghMore

We came to Maison Bleue after a busy day and wanting good food and we definitely found it!!! The food is very tasty and nothing disappointed! The service was very friendly, relaxed yet efficient. The room was very nicely decorated and the atmosphere was great!...I would highly recommend the burger and the cocktails were great too! I really enjoyed the Spiced Apple cocktail. The crème brulee was also great! Would definitely come back!More

We came across this by chance and it was a great find. Lovely old townhouse with French style decor. We had the good value evening meal. Home cooked French /Moroccan food - delicious. Lovely welcome - hope to return on our next visit to Edinburgh.

I visited the restaurant with my family during a weekend visit to Edinburgh. We came across the restaurant by chance as everywhere else was busy and I am so glad we found this restaurant! Firstly, the building is gorgeous and is such a great place...to eat. Secondly, all the staff were so lovely. Thirdly, the food was incredible!!! Presentation and taste were immaculate. I recommend this to anyone visiting Edinburgh and will most certainly be making a visit again.More

Were recommended this restaurant but I thought it was average. Staff were very welcoming and we were seated upstairs. Table was unstable (wobbly) menu was pretty limited and when we placed out order we were told 2 of the 6 starters were not available. When...our starters did arrive they arrived without the bread. Mains were nice but quite a small portion. Would not return as there are 100’s of others to try in the cityMore
