Must be one of the best - if not the best Fish & Chips eateries in Edinburgh. And from a Non-Fish eating person - it really has to impress me with good choices for those ‘that do & those that don’t’. The menu here had...so much that sounded good - that I’m counting down till I drop in again. The White Pudding Supper…..took me back to my childhood growing up in Edinburgh - with salt & chippy sauce - just like I remember. My dining companions also found their food spectacular. The fish being so fresh with exceptional batter. Now the puds - I’m afraid I couldn’t (too full) but the others loved the various Italian ice-creams and cakes they chose. A special mention and thanks to all the staff - a credit to the establishment & the welcome from the guys cooking as you come in the door - didn’t go unnoticed either. If you are a first time visitor to Edinburgh - drop in - you won’t be disappointed. The Scottish dishes on offer give you a great starter to learning about what locals eat.More

This is a fish and chip restaurant with 'diner' style seating with other classic dishes available. We had homemade pasta dishes on a par with more expensive italian restaurants, and a delicious banana split. Lovely service. Mains are around £10, lunch and dinner. An unpretentious...restaurant well worth a visit.More

Lovely food, generous portions, great service and fabulous value for money. Starters of bread and olives & haggis bon bons got things off to a great start - although with the portion size being so generous we did begin to wonder if we had ordered...too much! The main of Scotsman (haggis) pizza was declared as 'the best pizza ever' while the homemade chips which accompanied the delicious onion burger were very fine indeed. Just about enough space left to share a deep fried Mars bar....(when in Scotland!) which came with some ice cream. Our daughter chose the chicken burger and chips from the kids set menu and ate the lot - a rare occurrence if ever there was one! A chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and cream disappeared in similar style. Despite the restaurant being very full the service was excellent - extra sauce, tap water, a box to take away a couple of slices of the pizza (we had to leave a tiny bit of space for the Mars bar 🤣)....all done quickly and with a smile. An outstanding experience, will definitely be returning next time we're in Edinburgh. If only they delivered to Newcastle......More

Decent chippy meal, large portions but had better. The strawberry milkshake was nice. Booked ahead and was disappointed to be sat downstairs not too far from the deep fat fryer.

Had a Sunday Dinner at this fabulous restaurant. The food was suberb in the upstairs restaurant in a nice diner themed restaurant. Serving chip shop mains and pizzas with fantastic ice cream based deserts. We booked a table which I would recommend. The service was...very good and the value for money I feel was outstanding for a city centre restaurant. Highly recommended.More

A great experience. After a couple of minutes waiting for a table (usually a good sign) we were sat in a great window booth on the upper floor, perfect for the missus to people watch on a busy night! The ice cream milkshakes were really...good. I went for the minced pie supper with chips and gravy and it ended up being the best pie I have ever tasted. The chips were fantastic too. A friend had recommended the deep fried Mars bar for desert…now I understand why! Pairing it with vanilla ice cream seems like a weird combination but it works really well. Considering the quality of the food, the price was cheaper than I expected. Any time we visit Edinburgh again, we’ll be back for sure.More

Literally the worst service I’ve ever witnessed, being actively ignored while the two girls had a conversation together (this was on the top level of the restaurant ) and then were given below average food. Cold pancakes that were clearly shop bought and bad quality,...Nutella which had bits in it and sweet potato fries which tasted very odd and were room temperature on arrival. Waste of money, especially as the prices are quite high!More

We only had 40 mins to order and eat until our next Fringe show and the staff ensured this happened. There was a nice view from our table upstairs.

We were very impressed. The food was excellent, well cooked and presented. Best of all were the waiting staff, particularly the lady with the multi coloured hair and the young guy. Polite, friendly and professional. We would happily return.

Sorry for the late reply. Sure, you can. It takes time to cook some dishes. It depends on what you order, I suppose.
