Only called in for a pint. The restaurant was quite busy so obviously popular. Good range of beers and lagers.

I visited for food. I tried the steak and ale pie and it was marvelous. Beautiful puff pastry, nicely cooked and tender beef. Really great for a winter day. Highly recommended.

Great traditional style pub with real ales. Traditional no nonsense menu at a reasonable price. Will visit again when next in the area
