Eaten here a number of times and it has always been excellent. Very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. We usually roll up mid-afternoon so the place is rarely busy and usually have no problem getting a window table with a view over the harbour. Starters have varied from smoked salmon, to spicy fish soup or moules. All well cooked... More

My girls had a good selection from the children's menu - moules, calamari, pasta. Avocado salad, 2x moules frites. Mussels were very small and the portion/sauce was meagre. Service was poor, unwelcoming and orders missed in a very quiet restaurant - mediocre on all counts. Hadn't been for years, won't be back. Shame.

My partner and I had been looking forward to visiting one of these seafood restaurants for a while. During a surprise visit to Edinburgh I had booked us into the restaurant with one of their many great voucher deals (web sign up needed). I wasn't sure if the voucher would work as it was a 40% discount but it did,... More

Good lunch here as always though disappointed that the set lunch not available on Saturday. Also Cullen Skink no longer on the menu - a particular favourite- and prefer the fish finger sandwich in bread rather than in brioche bun but this is a personal thing.

A superb meal on a quayside location. Warm welcome and a table overlooking harbour. Young grandsons were welcomed and well treated. And the food - try the seafood grill, it was sublime. Our first Loch Fyne experience, but not our last.

Was visiting on Thursday 6.4. with my friend for dinner. We both were exited about "Shellfish-Thursday" specials and ordered Shellfish platter. As we are not a big eaters so we ordered the smallest platter to share (£28), king prawns starter, olives, side salad and side of thick cut chips to share between both of us. I pointed all this to... I visited Loch Fyne with my Dad on a friend's recommendation. I was a little hesitant given the more scathing reviews on here but we didn't encounter any serious issues. The restaurant wasn't full when we arrived, but we were asked to sit and wait for a table. A bit strange, but it gave us some time to browse the... More

I found this restaurant by chance on Tuesday the 4th and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit- only sorry that we did not find it earlier. The Romanian Waitress was a joy to deal with as she was charming and knowledgeable about the dishes on offer. The meal was excellent and good value for money and the service was impeccable. I... I regularly visit loch fyne for various occassions and it never disappoints! Delicious food and friendly staff. A great selection of both seafood and non-seafood dishes. Excellent value for money especially as there are regular offer nights etc.
