Visited on a Saturday night, waitress was friendly but only put through orders for 3 main meals instead of 4 leaving my partnofoid delayed. Food was excellent however, and the cocktails were good too. Reasonably priced for city centre dining. Clean and comfortable, nice atmosphere.

Don't really have much luck finding a nice breakfast usually. Bingo, broken that now. Superb breakfast, really tasty. Haggis, blacklisting and sausages all superb, but the bacon. Wowser. Really tasty. Add in a perfectly poached egg, tattie scone and sourdough toast. Wonderful. Really friendly staff...More

Having lunched here for several years and returned with good reason, today's experience left a bitter taste. Chargrilled steak, toasted sourdough, parmesan, vine tomatoes, horseradish mayo £9.95, as always but today's offering was tough, overcooked and merely a morsel of steak in comparison. When this...More

Amazing cocktail menu with interesting and unusual flavours. And delicious food. But it’s the service that makes this place special - we couldn’t have asked for friendlier or more efficient service. Definitely worth popping in here for either food or drink.

Had nice drinks in here and the bar area is really good. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks. However!!!!!!! No coat hooks on the back of the cubicle doors in the toilets Massive fail, but so easy and inexpensive to rectify.

Visited for lunch today as recommended by one of our group. There is a standard menu and a selective menu of two and three course options which give a flavour of their evening dinner menu. We opted for the latter and chose two courses. Our...More

A nice and cosy establishment in a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff. Good selection of draft beers but the lack of non-alcoholic beer on offer was a real disappointment. I would ultimately expect more choice in 2018 - I’d...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along
