This is a great little Italian style restaurant at any time of day. Great. Breakfast service ( useful from nearby Travelodge) + good evening meal menu. The staff are bright and cheerful and provide excellent service.

I entered in this place expecting something truly Italian, well it wasn't bad, wasn't great either, the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, you know where are paying for a good service.

Lots of waiting and the food was brought seperately to everyone. First had already eaten when others were served. Desserts were fine though.

So rich and delicious. It was exactly what we needed after a day of sight seeing. Sugar and coffee, both were perfect. This place also has great meals. If you need something more filling they have pasta and it looked delicious.

We were looking for dinner late, Martone is open to 11. We had a fantastic meal, and Chef Antonio and the rest of the staff were excellent hosts.

There were a lot of options but despite the "ad" here, there were quite limited options for someone requiring both glutene as well as lactose free food. The "English breakfast" was OK, also the veg version, but nothing special. Coffee was good.

The food is ok but the hygiene is unacceptable. There are some noodles-alike things still on my fork. And there are some green thing (food?) on my partner's plate. Also you have to constantly protect your pizza from all the flies around. If you are...More

We stopped by for a late breakfast during a two week trip through the British Isles. This place is truly fantastic. It has great energy, an awesome selection of cafe goodies, and friendly people who actually seemed to enjoy their work.

We found the food here excellent. The pizza had a thin base with plenty of filling, a 12 inch one will do two people, the house wine red was very good but the ice cream was sensational!! Highly recommend .

Broughton & Calton
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to
malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton
have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a
mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village
found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything
but overt along bustling epicentre Broughton Street;
even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and
art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The
