I've been several times to Miro's police box stand for their amazingly generous proportioned burritos several and I've never been disappointed. Love that they sell jaritos too . As for the restaurant itself its such a lovely intimate wee place. Great food and great service. I love it's brightly decorated walls and you very much get the sense that it's... More

What a fantastic meal !! So enjoyed our nachos, lots of guacamole and oh my, the vegetable enchiladas were heavenly !! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend people to book and go there. I could have chosen lots off the menu, totally spoilt for choice !!

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst walking down Rose Street. At 6pm it was already thriving so decided to give it a go, great choice, although we hadn’t booked they were able to squeeze us in between bookings. The staff was very friendly and looked after us well, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Great value... More

Great authentic food! Killer mojito cocktails, good potions too. I would book ahead as the foot fall traffic is quite alot. I can recommend the large nachos. Easy enough for 2.

This is a great little cantina, good central location in Edinburgh, (west end of Rose street) Booking is advisable. Service was great, food was delicious and served quickly. We had a large shared starter between 4, then a main, and a couple of beers each, all for under £100. If you like Mexican food then give this a go. Enjoy

So good. I'd the steak Diablo. Fantastic flavours. My son had the chicken fajitas and enjoyed them too.

My first experience at Miro's and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, catering for a fussy eater in the group (me!). The food was amazing, extremely tasty and authentic. My slow cooked lamb was to die for. Fantastic atmosphere, brilliant food, I can't wait to go back.

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
