As always a brilliant visit. Their advice on cocktails were excellent. I recommend the chilie cocktail. Ryan and Emily were amazing
Cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and service. You absolutely made our night. The food was incredible - every single one of us loved our dish. To die for - haggis bon bons, Brie, tandoori prawns, Scot’s burger, chicken burger, salmon fillet. The staff...were incredible, very attentive, and welcoming. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.More
We had a voucher for 3 Scottish tapas and a cocktail each at The Barologist. The tapas were delicious especially the haggis bonbons. We also shared chicken strips with a bbq sauce and olive bread with hummus. Everything was well presented on a sharing platter. The...Mojito and Margarita were both very good. Hopefully we'll be back soonMore
Visited the Barologist this week. Ryan and Michael could not have been more professional. The service they provided was second to none. The food was excellent and the atmosphere with music, not too loud, playing in the background just made it perfect. Would certainly return...in the near future.More
We visited this establishment not knowing of the Geordie connection. Turns out the main man was born in the same area as me, High Heaton! a proper character! Very quirky pub, worth a visit. Beer and food good value.
First class service form the host and team. They’re always on the go. Good tunes, great drinks. The interior and atmosphere is top notch.
My colleague and I came here for a meal and some cocktails. I can truly say the experience was wonderful. I had the Chicken Katsu and my colleague had the fish and chips and both dishes were well presented and tasted magnificent! The same goes...for the Bailey’s Creme Brûlée. A lovely light and tasty dessert. We then had a few cocktails afterwards which we also couldn’t fault. Allistair looked after us very well. He is an asset to your team, so many thanks to you for helping us choose some cocktails when we couldn’t decide and allowing us to have a lovely evening!😊More
We booked cocktail making class with dinner for a family reunion. Ryan or host and mixologist was excellent he explained all about the cocktails and making them and then drinking them was epic. The food was also first class and we all enjoyed ourselves you...helped make our reunion with family who were here from Australia such a memorable one. Thank you. Did we say how good Ryan was !!!!!!!More
Incredible spot. Stopped by here after the rain came on. We were just looking for a place to stay dry. The bar/restaurant looked so good that we decided to have a late lunch/early dinner. By far one of the best choices we made. The food...was excellent and provided Gluten Free for a member of a party.More
Really nice meal in fabulous surroundings. Food was lovely, great service and we had a lovely private space for the 7 of us. 2 of us had our birthday and we actually got our meals for free, which was a really nice touch. 2 of...us had braised beef pie, which was delicious. Would definitely recommend.More
Came in for lunch as 3 generations of a family. Really warm welcome, really accommodating, nice food and quirky comfortable surroundings.
This restaurant was selected for our first group meal in Edinburgh, and it was an interesting place with a history all its own. The food was good but the service was a bit slow because there were 40 in our group, so slow service that...can't be their fault. The place is interesting and we were able to take a "tour" of the restaurant and see lots of interesting "inventions" that I suspect were not really inventions, but a sort of steam punk art that was made to embellish the story of the Barologist who I presume was a real person, and make the decor fit the story of the Barologist that we were told on our tour.More
First visit here last week for Tapas lunch. Food was lovely, served by Alistair who was very helpful and friendly. Nice surroundings, will definitely be back!
We came for my birthday day out. 18 of us for cocktail making and food. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The guys behind the bar teaching us to make the cocktails were brilliant, they must have patience of a...saint! After cocktails we got our own seating area where our buffet was served which was excellent. All my friends said it was a great day. Thank you so much for making my 60th birthday extra special. Great staff, food and cocktails.More
