An interesting concept, and new to me, namely a choice of 2 items for 3 courses and one for 2 (this is at lunchtime, in the evening it is 3 and 1, so more 31313 then). With the two of us we could taste the...More

In Edinburgh for the European Championship final Sarries v Clermont and a group of ten of us commandeered a private room. Very wonderful foodies food with excellent wines. I just wonder if 21212 is a slightly dated concept?

We visited this restaurant a bit last minute on our last day in Edinburgh. As we were a bit early we were invited to have an aperitif on the 1st floor drawing room. For lunch there was an option of 2, 3 and 5 course...More

A Tuesday afternoon arrival in Edinburgh was enhanced by a lovely welcome from Beth and the team. We were taken to our room on the top floor with lovely views facing the Leith. Our room was very comfortable, luxurious and beautifully designed. We were expecting...More

We tried the five course taster menu for lunch and it lived up to expectation. The staff were fantastic and attentive, and the food was excellent, fresh and flavoursome. We were there for a special occasion and I'd recommend for anyone doing similar.

We went to this restaurant as a birthday surprise for my sister. We had the 5 course tasting lunch menu which was fantastic. The Prosecco and wine was also lovely. We truly enjoyed our experience as it made my sisters birthday a little more special.

Really interesting dinner with lovely flavour combinations but a bit too much foam for my liking. The novelty wore off after the third coarse! The service was great and the staff were very knowledgable about each course. Their ability to remember and recite something about...More

Broughton & Calton
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to
malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton
have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a
mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village
found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything
but overt along bustling epicentre Broughton Street;
even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and
art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The
