Dropped in after quiet evening in the tourist centre. This is a welcome heaven, small, nostalgic with a good selection of drinks. Both the beers and whisky are recommended. Don’t be surprised if it’s a squeeze. But worth a look in. Prices reasonable for close...More

We didn’t try the food, but they know how to pull a proper pint of Guinness and that’s all we were looking for. Fun location too.

This is a small pub that has welcoming and helpful staff. There is a 4 real ales normally available and food too. Handily located up the steps opposite the back entrance (Market Street) of Waverley Station and is reasonably priced . It's also dog friendly!

The best pub to have a lunch in Edinburgh in my opinion. Th owners are really nice and very polite with the customers. Amazing food, especially the haggis and the cullen skink.

I’ve been here a few times when waiting for a train, it’s a wonderful little pub, no pretension but you never feel like you shouldn’t be there. It’s tiny but somehow everyone squeezes in and finds a seat. Last time I had a great simple...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
