The pulled pork was alright, nothing memorable. The the male worker wasn't nice or welcoming. Your pulled pork sandwich comes with crackling. We had to ask for our crackling. I think this was done intentionally since the worker was playing stupid of the fact and only gave it to us after we pointed to the menu. Crackling is probably one... More

Passed by there by chance, my gf mentioned this place had a lot of good reviews, they had a huge rosted pork in the front of the shop, definetly caught my eye. I wasnt even hungry but decided to pop in, best decision i had made. The sandwhich i had was the largest with chilli jam and haggis. Best combination... More

Found this place on Pinterest and decided to give it a try during our stay in Edinburgh as it seemed inexpensive and within easy reach of all the tourist attractions. Service was fast, pricing spot on and the food delicious. If I lived closer I'd definitely visit again.

Stopped off for a quick lunch after Arthur's Seat on Tuesday and it was superb. We had a medium sized (the large must be extremely big!) with haggis and chilli jam and it was fab - really tasty and very quick. Great for a 'no-fuss' lunch in between sightseeing.

Regularly have their hog roast as part of post-training/match food at Watsonians. Good pork in large quantities

We decided to go to OINK on a Thursday lunch time because of the intriguingly high number of excellent ratings on Trip Advisor. None the less it was tasty. The sandwich had a great name but wasn't anything particularly special. The staff weren't rude but I wouldn't say they were overly welcoming either. In summary, nice food but nothing that... More

Had the pulled pork bun with haggis stuffing and apple sauce, plus crackling. I don't normally like pork but this was amazing and I'll probably go back tomorrow. Very cheap but delicious lunch and friendly, quick service. Recommended!!

Amazing pork sandwich but unfortunately we got there too late and they ran out of haggis... Nonetheless we got amazing recomendations and alternatives. Maybe the next time we'll try it :)

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
