Before I go any further, this place would have got top marks, except that I got a starter that is still a mystery to me, I ordered a Potted Rabbit With Piccalilli and toasted bread starter, it was apparent when it was delivered to the...More

I visited this restaurant/pub at the end of October with four friends. The vegetarian choice did not appeal to me, so I asked the waitress if there were any other options. The chef himself came out to talk to me and offered to make anything...More

Tremendous pub with and excellent range of beers and wines. Comfortable and cosy areas to eat and drink in. A terrific selection of food and fish available. Good fire in the evening to help you savour the full surroundings.

We dropped in after a trip to the pictures. Managed to get a table in the middle of the bar on a chilly Friday evening - close enough to get a heat from the fire! I had beef stroganoff and my wife had pan seared...More

Went for an after lunch drink on Sunday - £14 for 2 x 25 ml malt - Glenkinchie and Glenmorangie - absolute rip off. The Shore down the road which also had live jazz charged under £5 for all malts. Will not be returning☹️

I came here for dinner and the Salmon I had was excellent. Tasty, nicely presented, fair portion size and priced well. The service was casual and friendly. I think the last order is 10.00pm. Nice wine list and beers.

So on that day we were fully booked, even if there were four tables free there's no guarantee they were actually available, being asked if you have a reservation doesn't mean someone has taken a disliking to you?! As for the... More
