Relaxed Sunday with the in laws and kids. Food was great and staff were friendly and flexible with the menu for the kids. Good selection of food and drinks - we all enjoyed our food and the intimate surroundings. Would definitely recommend a stop here. #ginsfantastic

Fantastic Sunday afternoon brunch at the kings Wark. First visit since the refurbishment and very impressed with the staff who were all very friendly and attentive. I had smoked haddock , black-pudding and duck egg served on herb toast which was lovely. A relaxed atmosphere, great bar in a great location.

Could not get the attention of the waiting staff even though there was plenty off them. Took 20 mins to get a menu. Should have just left then. Food was cold. Everything is overpriced. Will not recommend or return.

The Kings Wark has been a reliable, good eatery for many years with reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. No longer. the menu looks ok, a bit dull and predictable the food is a good deal less than great, the pork was tough, overcooked and served with unimaginative veg and gravy. The mussels were plump but in a dull sauce... More

I used to love the Kings Wark. It was always one of my favourite places to eat in the city with very good grub at decent prices. A local landmark really. Now the owners have changed - presumably the chef too - and now it's hideously overpriced with poor food. Some chancers obviously thought they could take over this great... More

We went here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday recently. Initial impressions were good, the decor was attractive and the menu looked tasty. However, things went downhill from there. We waited a long time for anyone to come and take an order, and when they did, one of our party tried to order food, only to be told 'oh... More

Visited here a few Sunday's ago and had a great time ! The venue it's self has a great rustic charm with the old exposed brick walls and rustic tables and chairs. We all had Sunday dinner which was excellent. Also noticed they do fresh daily specials will definitely be back to sample some of the other food. Staff very... More

Somebody's trying to make money from a very good thing - or it used to be! The charm of the building and helpfulness of the staff remain but the food is not exactly outstanding but the prices certainly are! £12 for 2 sausages and mash (cheapest thing we could find) at a lunch time when it wasn't very busy -... This atmospheric pub used to be one of our favourite haunts in Auld Reekie. What's happened? The ambience has deteriorated and the piped disco music is unwelcome and a distraction. The food was acceptable but not of the previous very high standard. I'm also profoundly sorry to have to say that the service was indifferent. All in all, we were... More

Went there with a friend for a catch up. Neither of us had been for a while so were unaware of the change of ownership and chef. Front of house were friendly and welcoming but the food was poor. The panko coated fish was dry and overcooked and the accompanying chips and crushed peas were flavourless. It seemed very overpriced... More
