Everyone should know about this place! It’s the only place I’ve ever been to that has sausage wrapped in hash browns, a Mac ans cheese tart as well as a scotch pie. All were very yummy and such a reasonable price.

The service here is absolutely terrible. The only person working there is rude to most of patrons. I would not recommend this to tourist. I was not pleased being called names by the staff.
Great food good price. Very busy, not very much room to sit. No washrooms. I had a cottage pie and a apple raspberry turnover. Both were excellent
The tattie dogs saved us! We’d walked ten miles around the city and forgot to eat. The food is delicious and the service is friendly.
Enjoyed a lovely Double Potato roll, followed up by an apple turnover (both vegan!) - sooo flaky and delicious. Not a lot of seating, but the price was reasonable and the food was wonderful!
Most awful service I have ever received. Server was threatening us. He was also dropping and throwing our order.
In need of a pre opera snack and this place was just the job. Decent enough steak and ale pie, however not to the extent that some reviews rave about. Very good nevertheless.
Came to try a bridie but first time we went they didn't have one so we tried the steak pie, scotch pie & haggis pie instead. All were amazing! Second time they had a bridie & that was great too. Staff were really nice both...the woman from the first visit and the man on the second were lovelyMore
This is a must. The tottie dog, the haggis pie, the vegan and vegetarian options, there is something for everyone. Super cheap and super tasty. Highly recommended!
Had the chicken and mushroom pie!! Amazingly flaky pastry. Such good value!!! Will definitely come back when next in Edinburgh
Just after doing Arthur’s Seat on a cold windy day, I determined that I needed a pie. And preferably a beer. This place was great for the former but not the latter. The pie range is superb and the staff are friendly. It was a...shame that what we wanted was sold out (or we were told so) only to find it coming out when we’d finished and if we’d been told to wait then maybe we could have had it. Introduce beer as well and this place is a clear winner!More
Great little bakery, so much choice of pies/slices compared to a typical bakery shop! Went for the Macaroni and Haggis slice, both tasty!
The Piemaker is a wee shop in Edinburgh with limited seating. It is definitely more of a takeaway establishment. The menu of pies is amazingly large and the prices are EXCELLENT! My husband and I both chose Macaroni and Cheese pies. They were delicious. The...crust was flaky and delicious. However, the macaroni and cheese part was YUMMY! It was creamy and cheesy deliciousness. Best of all the pie was priced at 2 pound 40. A cheap, but filling meal. We took ours back to the hotel to eat, and it was still warm.More
Returned to Edinburgh after many years and delighted to see the PieMaker still going strong! Friendly service, reasonable prices and the best pies and pasties. The true star of the show for myself though, is the tattiedogs, hotdogs wrapped up in hashbrown, an amazing creation...and one well worth returning for!More
New to Edinburg and found this place on trip advisor. So far we have 4 different pies and are going back for more. So quick and affordable. The pastry has been delicious and so impossibly thin. The fillings are amazing and so good. Traditional pasty...and steak pies are our favorites so far, but the jury is still out since we aim to try them all before we leave!More
