Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I had booked PIGGS restaurant on a recommendation from a family member. We were not disappointed!!!! From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The member of staff attending to us was very pleasant and helpful (sorry wish I could...remember his name). The atmosphere was very friendly, with no pretentiousness. We ordered six tapas dishes and each one was nicer than the other - all dishes cooked to perfection and delicious. We had to finish everything so left absolutely stuffed. Some reviews have noted that this is fairly expensive but I didn’t think so - £66for six tapas dishes and two drinks. On top of that the Sangria is delicious and well worth a try (we only had 1). We would definitely go back if we return to Edinburgh.More

Lovely early lunch. Although it is a little pricey, the food and atmosphere is worth it. Thanks to our waiter/host who was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Will definitely return!

Nice place to dine, bit cramped but room to manoeuvre about. Food was delivered quickly which was good but all pretty much at the same time was disappointing, they need to slow it down a bit so people can enjoy the experience, turnover is crucial...though so I see why they do it.More

Average Tapas and an average service for a higher than average price point. The place is very small and the two large speakers playing some horrendous music does not make it conducive to good conversation over a nice meal. We were glad to leave to...get to somewhere quieter. Far better other Tapas places in Edinburgh.More

Wonderful food, in fact one of the best meals we have had... a real attention to quality and nice informal setting. Staff were friendly and helpful, it was the nicest tapas I've had even compared to Spain where my parents lived. The location was easy...to find and I'll definitely eat here again. The only slight negative (very slight) was music was a little loud, but it is quite a small place. My wife found the bar stool a wee bit 'shoogly' but it definitely had a proper tapas bar feel with high seats. However none of this detracted too much from an amazing meal on our anniversary. I was glad I found this place on our trip to Edinburgh.More

The location is great, the food is very good and tasty but you need to know how to pick it. Since this is a tapas bar you can go overboard by not thinking how the food will be presented to you. It is always a...good idea ask the staff about sizes and preparation as tapas can either not be enough to way too much easy. Although everything was really good and I loved the non alcoholic sangria, the atmosphere threw me off a bit because of the way too loud Spanish music playing non stop. I couldn't hear anyone speaking. Overall it's a good place to everyone who likes Spanish cuisine and culture.More

Great food, wine, atmosphere and such a rare find, a small business created with such a love for Spain, yes it is a small restaurant but it is perfectly formed. We had a selection of tapas dishes my favourite was cheese topped with some popping...candy....sounds revolting I know but it was so delicious! Make sure you give it a try when you go! Can't recommend highly enough. Will be my go to place for tapas in Edinburgh. Then wander around the corner to Nor Loft for a cocktail to finish off a perfect lunch or evening in Edinburgh.More

Absolutely amazing experience, friendly and welcoming staff paired with a holiday vibe atmosphere. Then you add in the food! I can honestly say it’s one of the best experiences, food and wine I have ever had. We had the mixed platter, All Blanc bottle of...wine, almond tart and fabada (white bean soup with mixed meats). Highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again. Best £96 I have ever spent tbh well worth every single pennyMore

This is a quaint cozy place. The space was small which explained the lack of availability for reservations, we had a 9p reservation which I made on Wednesday for Sunday. It was tasty but a bit pricey but this may just be Edinburgh.
