Did a pre-theatre visit and really enjoyed it. The menu choice is a little different from your run of the mill Spanish tapas chains and it was great to try new dishes. Reasonably priced and great service. Will return.

Indaba has been our first choice for a meal for many years, when we are in the Tollcross area of Edinburgh, for theatre or cinema. Our experience on this occasion has reinforced its position. With its unusual mixture of South African and Spanish cuisine, the...More

Too much. Not the cost but the choices we made. The daily specials explained on the bill board but we stayed with mostly firm favourites. Our server questioned whether 2 kebabs were needed along with the meatballs, shoulder of pork strips, goats cheese with chilly...More

A wonderful evening just spent in Indaba. An interesting fusion of Spanish and South African cuisine, there's a reasonably sized menu with a focus on a large amount of specials. The staff bring the specials board to your table and explain what everything is -...More

Particularly recommended if, like me, you hadn't had South African. On of the best meals I've had in the last year and I was full well after dinner time. The dessert portions are very generous, but not to be missed! Favourite dishes; chicken apricot skewers,...More

Incredible food is served here, my husband and I love it and the restaurant is certainly one of our favourite restaurants in Edinburgh. Try it, you won't regret it.

This is a really friendly tapas place and the food was really good, The staff bent over backwards to let me be seated even though all tables were reserved. My only complaint was that when I ordered a second glass of red wine it never...More

This place is a classic of “kids don’t judge the book by its cover” as it isn’t very much to look at from the outside, however on the inside is a completely different story. Whilst this is not the most salubrious of restaurants in the...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along

It’s because their license. Scottish licensing is very strict with the access of children to premises where alcohol is consumed.
