Cakes to die for, wonderful sandwiches made to order while you wait (they know what a vegan is!), friendly staff. Not cheap, but a great treat, eat in or take away to eat by the Water of Leith on a sunny day.

I visited today hoping for good things having been told it was quite good. It main benefit were the counter staff who were absolutely lovely. We had the mac and cheese. It was weird because at the same time we both said "It was nice but not as good as mine!" although neither of us had tasted the others! 😁The... More

Popped in on way to a meeting this morning. Excellent latte and very generous bacon roll. Relaxed convivial atmosphere. Staff engaging and attentive greeting regulars warmly. Good value for money.

I was raised just across the road (store clock building) and this was our newsagents shop in the 50s and 60s (Laings). It was quite strange to have lunch here after all these years. Laings was kind of like 'Open All Hours' with sweet jars, magazines. cigarettes, groceries everywhere. A dark cave of a place although I was always aware... More

Came here with a friend after travelling to Edinburgh for work . I had a bounty muffin very tasty and well decorated . Staff were friendly too. It's a small place so imagine it might be difficult at times to get a seat but it's worth the wait !

It states it offers Hand crafted, fine foods made on site using the finest ingredients but makes no claim to the expertise which is so evident in the construction of everything and sits on a humble corner site on Great Junction Street. This is a seriously good Sit - in Takeaway which should be considered by all Leith businesses. Congratulations... More
