Small venue and limited menu very well executed. It has a feel of those really old fashioned front room pubs, but it has a good range of beers and the food is good. Staff friendly. No complaints.

After not booking anywhere to eat on a Saturday night and struggling to find anywhere with room we stumbled across this place which managed to squeeze us in, they were very welcoming and both the food and wine were lovely, would happily go here again

Stopped for dinner for 2. Had starter (soup x 2) and mains (burger + haggis, needs and tatties). Soup was piping hot and very tasty, main was just as good as the high bar set by starter, but still very nice.

This is one of the most unique bars in the area in my opinion. It has a super chill and relaxed atmosphere with candles everywhere. It feels very welcoming. The Rose & Thistle beer is delicious!

We were in Edingburgh on a coach trip and was given a flyer for the restaurant, as we walked by. We were drawn in by the offer of mussels, which we had. The service was excellent, the mussels were tasty and the beer very pleasant....More

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
until after dark when strappy dresses come out to

with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street
helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned
Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric
