The food was top notch, the staff ever so friendly and the ambiance, for a small restaurant, was spot on.

Amazing selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Everything is delicious - the avocado rolls and lantern curry are highly recommended.

I visited as part of a group of six, on our annual day at the Fringe, returning to this cosy Vietnamese restaurant because it been the best part of our 2022 experience. The food was as god as we remembered, and everyone was very happy...with their meals. Only one critical point was that the sea bass was overwhelmed by the tamarind sauce, so another fish might be a sensible alternative. Chicken nest sharing starter was a big hit (again). Despite having exchanged several emails during the day of the booking to confirm our arrival time, the table had been given to another party when we arrived. Despite there being another table vacant, the waiter refused to seat us there as another party was expected...later. Having agreed that the error was the restaurant’s, it was surprising and disappointing that no attempt was made to rectify the situation. The food may well be good - if only we were able to try it!More

We were in Edinburgh for the fringe and it happened to also be our 15th Wedding anniversary so we decided to go out for a fantastic romantic meal. As we are not from Edinburgh I went on Trip Advisor reviews, I could have selected anywhere...but SEN seemed to be a good place with very high review scores. We arrived at 7:45pm for an 8pm table but was disappointed to discover that as the place was tiny there was no bar area to sit and drink so we were told to wait out in the street, unfortunate but ok. At 8pm I poked my head around the door to be told they were having system issues and people who had finished were unable top pay so that there wasn't any free tables so we had to wait (in the street) again. Finally after waiting 30 mins we were allowed inside and put in a cramped corner seat on benches. I we at a right angle to my wife and it felt more like KFC than a romantic 15th Wedding anniversary meal. The waitress did apologise for the delay. The menu wasn't the largest ever but it did have a good variety of tasty looking food so we ordered, the speed of service was good. I had the Tofu to start and my wife had the summer rolls. I thought the Tofu was delicious. My wife was a little less impressed with the summer rolls. For mains we both had the Pork Belly and it was good but didn't knock my socks off. For dessert we both had a very nice Pana Cota. I would say the food was a good standard but nothing special. When it came to paying I was surprised we were not offered any discount for the delay and I left feeling underwhelmed. a very disappointing night. i am not from Edinburgh but if I were I wouldn't go back. I defiantly didn't feel the meal justified the very high price and I dont understand why so many people have scored it so highly.More

Quaint, small, intimate. Food decent without being exceptional. Service is good. Expensive, portions small. It’s a one-off experience that overall doesn’t entice you to hurry back.

Delicious, great vegetarian options. The chilli and lemongrass tofu was the best I’ve had. Best meal of my weekend in Edinburgh. Thank you.

I have been here several times and also have it on uber eats when I cant make the restaurant. Great service, great fresh food! We have ordered or dined in almost 20 times this year, hope that shows how good it is! Quality and freshness!

The good was absolutely delicious - never eaten better in an Asian restaurant. Probably very authentic cuisine. The restaurant is very nice in any way and the staff very kind. A must when you‘re in Edinburgh! But pre-book a table, it is very small.

Quaint, tasty and well-presenting restaurant. Lovely short walk from the heart of Old town. Excellent and attentive service. Enjoyed our time thoroughly.
