Thanks for the review. Just to help anyone else reading this, we are near to the Meadows (great for picnics!) but not that close to the beach.

Lovely casual restaurant serving soups, salad, and bread. Great for a light, delicious lunch that is not usually on the tourist list. We had the flight of 3 soups with accompanying bread and enjoyed all three! Limited seating, but food can be taken away as...More

We loved this little place--stopped by for a light lunch, a bowl of soup and bread--the soup, lentil, tomato, and paprika was delicious and filling; we couldn't finish it all and we were full well past our usual dinner time. We liked the purpose of...More

Thanks so much for reviewing us and for purchasing a suspended soup. It makes a huge difference to our homeless clients. Excelsior!

I had a tasty and filling lunch of soup and bread. The best aspect, in my opinion, is how all the takeaway packaging is compostable, even the cutlery.

Thanks for the review. I'm really glad you mentioned that all our takeaway packaging is compostable - even the cutlery. We have used compostable packaging since day 1 and even reward people for bringing it back.

Very nice food! Everyday you have to choose between 5-6 ethnic soups, well made with fresh ingredients, also nice the onion bread and the stromboli with chorizo!

Thanks for the review. We aim to serve 6 different soups every day - though the Caldo Verde is always on. The stromboli and our vegan chilli are also very popular.

Visited here after researching some unique places in Edinburgh whilst visiting. Delicious soup and a range of breads to choose from, service was great and I thought the option to buy a suspended soup or coffee for the homeless was so thoughtful and such a...More

I am a soup fan - and this place did better than I ever could have at home. There's not much seating, and we had to wait around 10 minutes for a table but the man at the counter was really friendly and we managed...More
