Friendly atmosphere, enough space to move between tables, great staff. Then just freshest seafood and great steaks. Mum ordered steak ate batter from bit of Dad's fried fish and wanted more. Then she tried my lobster, glad I ordered the whole one, shared the lovely...More

Was walking by and we popped in for a wee bite to eat as we had heard very good things. We ordered a platter and it was good. Felt it was slightly over priced but staff were pleasant and we got a lovely table by...More

If you want a decent seafood lunch at a reasonable price, Fishers in the City remains the go to place in Edinburgh. I cannot add anything that I haven't said in previous reviews.

It always amazes me when restaurants find it so difficult to get the basic things right. I never ever understand why they don't see the importance of getting chips right! Why serve pre cut frozen chips, when with a little more effort they can prepare...More

Hello lisawest999, I am sorry you did not enjoy your chips at Fishers & you feel the experience was a disappointing one, but just to assure you we NEVER use frozen chips, our chips are cut using a potato chipper, thus the uniform look, they...More

Nothing wrong with it especially, but I certainly won't remember it tomorrow. I had 6 oysters and mussels for the main. I'd try elsewhere.

Had shellfish platter and a good wine. Friendly staff and good food. It's more expensive than most restaurants but more fancy as well. Would come here again and again to try all dishes.

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
until after dark when strappy dresses come out to

helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned
Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric

I think the cheapest is about £18. Lots below £25. You can get a set menu at lunch so more to spend on wine :-)
