We enjoyed 3 courses of beautifully presented, interesting and tasty food. Vegetarian menu was superb - very rare in Edinburgh. Venison was 'melt in the mouth' good. Beef, pigeon, scallops were just as well cooked and all presented very well on the plate. The service...More

It is about 6 months since I last visited the SMWS of which I have been a member for over 20 years. I was very interested and surprised at the total refurbishment and change of concept. It is now more of a 'public' restaurant and...More

Our visit was a gift and involved a tasting session of 3 single cask malts and a main course dinner from the bar menu. The building is Georgian I would imagine and has most of its original features intact. The rooms we were in were...More

We went here using a groupon voucher - a tasting session of three malts each and one main course each. The whisky was delicious and not available in the shops while the food was similarly good. We recommend the Whisky Society highly. Without the groupon...More

This was our first visit to the Queen Street venue since it's refurbishment. Fantastic selection of whisky as always and good food. The burger with blue cheese was excellent. The new layout provides a relaxed atmosphere in a more comfortable space.

The new layout of Queen Street is fantastic. The top floor now a really cosy but totally functional whisky bar. I also used the society in March for a birthday celebration. The catering was fabulous and the staff ultra attentive. Live this place.
