Visited the other day and had a delicious chicken burger with cheese and bacon and would thoroughly recommend a visit. The staff are nice and the atmosphere is just what you would expect in a local pub, great.

The Melville is usually described as 'trendy' but we went in as a family of 3 adults and 3 children, one of whom is a baby. We were welcomed and well looked after. The original idea was to have a light lunch but we were...More

Nice daytime boozer. Modern decor. Probably shows sport when it's on. Didn't have food. Bogs okay. Good selection of whiskies. Decent prices. Bar staff nice. Decent beers on tap.

Nice bar but don't put money in the juke box because I paid a pound and the waitress skipped all my songs at the request of a group of people! Quite sad since we paid :(

Hadn't been in here since I worked at this end of town in the late 90s. All change on the decor front - no carpet any more and everything done in - sorry - characterless grey. But. But, but, but. Don't judge this book by...More

I had lunch with my wife on a Friday, not a good experience for us. Decorated very contemporary, not my favourite for a Pub. The service was slow. The food was not good at all, bland and unmemorable. There are so many better options around.

Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
