Lovely, busy cafe to stop and get a bowl of soup and a coffee. The soup was amazing a huge bowl of hot Red Pepper and Basil soup too much for one! The staff are friendly and the service was quick. The only problem was that it was a little chilly.

Had the veggie breakfast here and throughly enjoyed every bite. The vegetarian haggis was also wonderful and added something a bit different to the breakfast. We also took away a brownie and huge chocolate slab full of all sorts of indulgent chocolate. Delicious! Fab little down to earth cafe.

Nice coffee and cake shop with nice breakfast. Always popular with locals and people passing. Just a nice normal café with a very friendly and helpful staff who are always busy. Well worth a stop off.

Went for breakfast with a friend, but have been several times and never had a negative experience. I'm a big cup of tea fan and the cups of tea here are brill, huge cups! Everything that I have had (usually toast) has been great. I had sausages on a ciabatta this weekend and it was delicious. My friend had eggy... More

Weekend is not complete without a visit to my fave local cafe. Fantastic breakfasts!! They also do sandwiches and cakes. Cakes are delish and are all made in house. It's a small cafe so fills up quickly. You have to get in early at the weekend or you have to go elsewhere for breakfast or get a take away!

This has to be one of the best cafés in Edinburgh. Run by some lovely young ladies who work very hard to make sure that you get the best they can provide every time you eat there. I must admit I struggle to see past their full breakfast, but I have also been in later and had the fullest sandwich... More

Been many times. This visit was he first time I didn't have breakfast food. I had a soup and sandwich. It was lovely! Also had an empire biscuit. It was so fresh and tasty. Staff are great and the Haven is good value for money.

Stopped in for breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked and well prepared. Straight forward breakfast menu such as full Scottish, scrambled eggs and salmon/bacon, porridge, breakfast rolls etc. Scones tasted homemade. Coffee was very good. Orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. Though a small cafe it was lively without being noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful setting a great atmosphere.... More

Nice corner cafe, just by Ocean Terminal almost opposite the Asda on the main road.. Imaginative retro inside, it's full of homemade cakes, meals cooked fresh, does wonderful breakfasts using quality ingredients and friendly people run it ! A great alternative to the "full grease" and Greggs... Couldn't fault it and really enjoyed Recommend

Cozy and quaint cafe, perfect for breakfast or lunch. If you'd like to try a full Scottish breakfast, this is a great place to do it. The baked goods also looked fabulous.
