My wife and I are regular visitors here and enjoy the meze style of eating, the quality of which is always of a pretty high standard. This time we had a late afternoon/early evening dinner with our son and two young grandsons. As ever the...More

This is a great choice for those that enjoy sharing food or prefer light bites. The restaurant is small so I would recommend booking for typically busy times. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food is served as it is ready so be...More

We came in for lunch on a Saturday having booked only 20 minutes before. The food was all fantastic and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating; offering suggestions for food and even providing a makeshift cake for my girlfriend when they found out...More

We came across this place after a couple of other restaurants were fully booked. Initially we were told we'd have a 45 minute wait but then they found table for us. We ordered the meze for 2, plenty of food and nice variety of dishes....More

A friend and I had lunch here, the food was AMAZING! Plenty of variety and caters really well for vegetarians. The arancini balls are to die for. Very laid back service which suited us, didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely be back

Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,

I'm not sure. I guess so.
This is a question for the restaurant or anyone that can answer me. I have just returned from Crete and had the most amazing samali cake. I manage to get recipe online for it and it asks for mastic. It is very expensive to buy online and as I only need a very small amount cannot justify it. Is there an alternative that I can use or somewhere local that I can buy a small amount of this ingredient Thanks An intimate meze bar in Edinburgh's well-heeled new town, Yeni restaurant offers a mix of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Boasting high ceilings and streams of natural light, the Yeni dining room features bohemian prints, fresh flowers and swathes of polished wood. Along with traditional meze sharing dishes, enjoy eastern-style desserts and choose from the accomplished wine stock.
