Lovely drinks and food. Please try haggis and the meat pie, because both are wonderful. We didn't spent too much time because we arrived lately at night, but the did the best to ensure our experience in a local pub.

Broughton & Calton
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to
malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton
have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a
mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village
found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything
but overt along bustling epicentre Broughton Street;
even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and
art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The

The Barony has been serving as a Wine and Spirits Merchant since 1896. In 1955 it became a licensed Pub under William Younger and Company.

Our beers are constantly changing and daily beer lists are posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Barony has 12 lines of draught ales, lagers, stouts and ciders to give you the best possible selection of beer available from all over the world. Six of these lines are keg beers with an array of Scottish, British and continental beers. In addition to this we have 6 lines pouring perfectly brewed, expertly conditioned and kept cask ales. Our range focuses on what's best in Scotland and beyond.

At The Barony we are passionate about Scottish whisky. We stock almost 60 single malts, ranging from Lowlands to Highlands.

Our Wine & Sparkles list covers a wide range of New and Old World classics from Italian Cattarato to New Zealand Sauvignion Blanc, from Spanish Rioja to Argentinian Malbec.

Our core value is to serve fresh Scottish produce straight from our kitchen.
