Super coffee, super breakfast - lots of choice. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere- dog friendly too. I had the vegan breakfast which for £10 was excellent value and delicious- it had everything you could want to be honest! Belgian waffles with Nutella were divine but v...filling- however the lovely staff gave us a box so we could take them away for later!More

Walked 30 mins from where I was staying on the morning of check out to visit you guys, only to find a sign on the door saying you're closed. Would have been SUPER helpful if you could have disclosed that somewhere on here, or on...your website, beforehand. Wasted morning.More

Visited the blue bear on our first day of a 4 day trip to Edingburgh. Brunch was amazing and their French toast is one of the nicest I have ever had. Service was quick and very friendly and the owner even gave us some reccomendations...for other restaurants to try during our visit!! We followed up on the tip for the White Horse Oyster and Seafood restaurant and were very grateful as that too was delicious and a great place to go!More

Was very disappointed in my breakfast at Blue Bear. It's usually one of my favourite, go-to cafes but not today. The avocado was icy cold and completely tasteless- a bit of salt or lemon would have helped and the bacon was fatty and soft even...though I'd asked for crispy. Standards definitely seem to have slipped.More

Best brunch myself and my family have ever had. Even my fussy 12 year old little brother ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and said they were the best he had ever tasted. Everything on the menu arrives exactly how you want it. It’s...a must try in Edinburgh!More

Took friends to this cafe recently. Had combination of full breakfast, eggs Benedict, smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs, crispy bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection including notoriously difficult poached eggs. You can go super healthy or opt for full Scottish breakfast. Coffee superb...and staff friendly. Dog friendly too and outside seating. This will be a regular breakfast/brunch spot for us.More
