We arrived at Pickles around 7.30 on a Monday, I was apprehensive as many reviews say there can be a wait, but nevertheless this was near the top of my list to visit whilst in Edinburgh. We walked through the door and with a stroke...More

A group of 4 came here for wines and the platters. We got 2 platters & a pate between us & this was plenty of food. Everything was so fresh. We LOVED the chutneys! I can’t rate the staff highly enough too. From the moment...More

We came across Pickles after reading a review here on Trip Advisor and it didn’t disappoint. Small, cosy and nice atmosphere-perfect for a cold, dark, November evening. We had the cheese board with port - a great selection of cheese, breads and oatcakes served with...More

I love a simple menu, one that offers a choice but not overwhelming. Therefore Pickles has the ultimate menu, fewer choices than I have have ever seen but those few ones on the menu ultimately make Pickles so wonderful. Simply put it's meat or cheese...More

Absolutely loved passing a couple of hours over a meat and cheese platter with all the trimmings. Perfect place to see off a bottle of red or two without the hustle and bustle. Would not miss this if I returned to Edinburgh.

This little gem of a pub is fantastic, a mix of Mediterranean meats, Scottish cheeses, and local pickles and a good selection of drinks made this an experience worth every penny. Will defiantly be returning and recommending it to all who travel to Edinburgh.

This place was great. Very busy but we managed to get a table. Massive mixed platter, olives in a bowl were great too. Would definitely return!

This was the last stop for us during our walking food tour in New Town. We sampled one of their whiskies, selected by the owner, and enjoyed it while taking in the unique surroundings in the bar. Very friendly staff, great sense of humor, and...More

Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to
malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton
have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a
mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village

Dear Claire, I'm afraid that we have a very limited food offering and just serve pates, meat and cheese platters. You can find our offerings (drinks and food) on our website - Sorry, Jonny

Dear Clare, Thanks very much for getting in touch. We tend to fill up pretty quickly (especially on a Saturday - and a wee bit slower on a Friday). Quite often most tables are taken within the first hour of opening... More

Thanks for your question. We only have a very limited menu I'm afraid and only serve meat platters, pates and cheese platters.
