My family and I went to Bindi for the first time tonight, and all 4 of us left thoroughly impressed - and thoroughly full too! There seem to be other comments suggesting that the size of the dishes leave a lot to be desired, but...More

I was convinced by my best mate to give this place another try. After all, it has been 8 months since my last visit and things may have changed. In short, the thali that used to be 5 pounds is now 10, with no significant...More

Our first meal at Bindi was simply EXCEPTIONAL. The atmosphere was buzzing in this packed restaurant; the service by this family business was superb - warm, friendly and attentive. Whilst the traditional Gujerati food breaks the mold of the normal Indian restaurant. It did not...More

I'll be the first to admit when my friends told me we were having dinner in a vegetarian restaurant my heart sank - in fact, several in our group were card carrying carnivores so we were planning where to have an after-show burger before we...More

This restaurant was a huge disappointment and I recommend avoiding it. Our party of 4 were all disappointed actually. Here’s why; First of all the prices were extortionate. It was £25 for 3 courses or £20 for 2 courses. We thought the food would be...More

Always welcome a 100% vegetarian restaurant. We had high hopes for Bindi - the food was very good, but the choices were bewildering. Set out as "Tapas" style, most of the dishes were described as "street food" and whilst these individual dishes were very tasty...More

Dear Barbara, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback - this is greatly appreciated. Thank you also for your kind comments regarding the food you had that day. We do, however, apologise that you found the menu somewhat bewildering. We...More

The staff were really accommodating to what kind of food we wanted and I'm surprised I'm giving it five stars because I don't really like going out for Indian food (I have a fair share of Indian food at home). Awesome ambiance and very spacious.

Several of us went for an early dinner during the festival. No menu appears on the website but having read older reviews it seems that the thali cost £5 in March, now it cost £10 and was not worth it. Two miniscule curries (I didn't...More

I attended this little place on a Saturday. We decided to get out the centre a little bit in order to find a restaurant that was less busy during the fringe period. This restaurant had one table of 8 seated and that was is it....More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of

replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
