Really disappointed to be writing this but we have been using Noor as our Indian restaurant for over 5 years. However with the recent changes to the food & menus we are going to have to find somewhere else to order from as it must...have new owner or chef which has ruined its proud, popular name. Some of the curries we normally order are no longer available and I tried a Bhuna which I’ve loved ordering for years yet it was a crying shame how different it was & I did not enjoy this at all. Additionally the samosas I ordered was like something I’d expect from a food van, so upsetting! It’s been a great restaurant to us for years as we used it so regularly however it’s time to move on. I know many of my friends are doing the exact same. Can’t believe you’ve done this to us Noor, hope you’re happy with yourselves.More

Very nice takeaway indeed, we don’t normally get curries delivered, preferring to eat out so they are piping hot etc, but needs must at this time. All the dishes were really nice, mains and starters. Delivery guy very polite and friendly too. I thought the...meal deal was really good value, it did another meal the night after. A highly recommended Indian meal. Thank you to all at Noor, we will be back :-)More

Probably 1 of the best Indian takeaways we’ve ever had and we’ve had a few over the past few months, The only disappointments I would have is 1. the Just Eat App isn’t always right when it says the delivery has left but still takes...another 45mins and 2. you order a can of juice for 95p and it comes with a price printed in the can for 39p. This however doesn’t reflect on the quality of food thankfully.More

Used the Take-away, so this doesn't reflect on experience of the restaurant. Maybe it was a bad night, but ordered a couple of dishes on New Years Eve 2019 and they were both so disappointing. One was smothered in oil and my daughter didn't eat...that much of it. Mine was a bit better, but just did not taste very good. Paneer Karahi Ceylon, A. Chicken On the up side, delivery was quicker than stated :)More

I ordered the food online today. My app told me driver left at 7.43 but when I phoned at 8.50 the person was honest and said the driver left 5mins ago and got phone from deliver as well I received my order finally at 9.25.Driver apologise...and explained me why he was late.Food was hot and really good and portions are big as well. But if you fix your just eat app issue might save you a-lot of trouble. Good luck !!More

When walking the Daschuund through Hampstead Heath on a crisp Sunday morning, it would be most uncommon not to overhear a conversation between two fellow ramblers. Topics might include the latest contemporary art offering at White Cube, the most recent avantgarde performance from the Islington...Amateur Dramatics (IAD) society or the hottest feminist novella. Given the nebulous nature of such a conversation, the topic of gastronomy would not be far from either side’s consciousness. One might suggest the Fat Duck, Heston Blumenthal’s immersive culinary powerhouse, to be the best restaurant in the UK. The other, Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons or Bray’s The Waterside Inn. The discussion could quite easily descend into fisticuffs (given the partisan nature of such a matter), with each party bravely and valiantly fighting their chosen sides culinary corner. It may even lead to animosity between the two belligerents, with both parties striking each other off their ethically sourced Christmas card lists and putting a stop to the triannual catch up along the canals. It is with this in mind that I bring to you this review, in a vain and most likely failed attempt to prevent such sordid scenes in North London. Noor Takeaway is quite simply the greatest purveyor of food in the UK. Whilst it may not deliver the fine dining experience, the menu is filled to the brim with culinary classics and having tried the majority I can say with firm conviction that all offerings are as delicious as the other. The food is reasonably priced and the delivery prompt, so much so that the curries are often too warm to consume straight after arrival. The temptation to tuck in immediately is often too strong to overcome, but for the strong willed among us this momentary pause before consumption offers an opportunity to nip down to the local co-operative and grab a couple of Cobras to enjoy alongside your meal. The portions are so generous that leftovers are a given, allowing for the most British of traditions; curry for breakfast. Delirium! I can offer no higher praise for this curry house. It had remained a staple of my weekly dietary plan since I discovered it in late 2015, and having left the city recently I cannot find a worthy alternative near my current tenancy. In sending this review out into cyberspace, I hope to not only enhance the reputation of one of the UK's finest eaterie, but also preserve the numerous friendships that are one gastronomic argument away from collapse.More
