I used to be a regular at "the bird" but have been out of the country for 6 months. So happy to be back. The customer service was just as remembered; friendly and efficient, I think the server was called Lily -blond girl- The pancakes were better than remembered and certainly better than anything I've had stateside.

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our breakfast at the Bluebird Cafe last Sunday morning! We shared the pancakes and a bacon/chicken/avocado sandwich. The food was awesome, especially the pancakes tasted really great. The staff were very friendly and even wrapped the food for us that we couldn't finish during the meal so that we could eat it later. Stop... More

Described by my work colleague as "that place with the amazing scones" although it's so much more than that! Amazing breakfasts, lunches, vegan options, good banter from the staff and just a lovely atmosphere. Everytime I try something new I think it won't beat the previous, but everything is so good!

Great wee cafe in Cannonmills. The menu is massive and has something for everyone (full Scottish, pancakes, soup, sandwiches, wraps, cakes, scones...). We both had the breakfast and it was so tasty. All food was really fresh, and the service was great. Definitely recommend heading out the city centre to come here.

Second visit here. It's a small little cafe serving tasty foods and some fantastic pancakes. On our first visit we had a very rude and miserable waitress on this next visit we had the same one.. She is quite possibly one of the worst waitresses I have ever experienced. She threw the menu on the table and came back a... More

My friend and I met here for lunch. There is a great selection of food suitable for either breakfast or lunch. I had humus and roasted veg of ciabatta with leaves which was delicious. My friend had the banana and peanut butter scone which she enjoyed. There are a couple of changes that could be made to improve the cafe... More

Small sized friendly cafe. Cozy seating. The buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were excellent. Would visit again !

Super friendly staff, great food and good service. The best coffee we've had in the UK. Australians, so we are coffee snobs! It's was great, strong and not served in a bucket. Great breaky, get out there if you can.

Delicious pancakes, good coffee and amazing service. A little pricey, but will certainly visit again.
