Slow service, small portions and average tasting food. Place was also really noisy. Better places to go to in Stockbridge. Disappointing as the place has potential given its location.

I visit the Raeburn fairly regularly as it's a popular and convenient bar/restaurant in Stockbridge. Great place to meet up with friends/family for a drink. Always busy and a nice environment. Dog friendly too! However, I think the food is poor. I try to avoid...More

Family lunch, six of us cramped into a table/booth for four. Service was good but the food was awful, tired "pub grub". Pity because the staff were great and the room we ate in was very pleasant. I had the pie (which was actually a...More

A gastronomic first for me, a dog on a table. There were four of us - all dog lovers - who had popped in for dinner and we could not believe it. What's more, minutes later, once the dog was seated beside one of the...More

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement
