We were here on a work night out. The whole place was quite eccentric with strange decorations although the staff were friendly and our drinks were fine.

We came to this bar to try the “true Butterbeer of Edinburgh.” My husband really enjoyed but I found it a bit too beer like (I realize it’s got beer in the name!). But the bar is absolutely stunning. Could spend hours there just looking...More

This was a experience, I can tell you that. Somewhat like a small museum rather than a pub! I went in for the butterbeer but I realized that this was something people have to see, I can't really describe this place!

Visiting this bar was because of the butter beer they serve there. We were told that it is the best butter beer in the town. Whether it is the best I don’t know, as tried only this one, but it was really delicious. Also the...More

Crazy place with very bizarre decorations and clientele to match. Beer and drinks plentiful. Weren’t there to eat, although the pub food menu was tantalizing.

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around

replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
