Having just moved into the area we have been trying out the local restaurants. This particular restaurant deserves praise for a very decent and varied menu in a city that is full of good restaurants. The customer service was prompt and friendly, good wine list,...More

We had a fixed time between shows so chose the pre-theatre menu. Absolutely delicious and great value! For under £20 we had courses and a glass of prosecco. They also pair wines with each course if you choose. Would definitely go back!

We have been to petit morts on a number of occasions during our visits to Edinburgh and we really like it, and always recommend it to friends, family and our Airbnb guests. It has a limited menu but the food is very well presented and...More

Went as a couple recently and found the menu to be lacking in substantial choice. The staff were under pressure as there was only one on duty and the restaurant was full. The food was tasty but uninspiring.

Visited today for a late lunch. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and professional and excellent value for money-3 courses for £13.95. Would highly recommend and we will back soon. I particularly loved the Cullen skink spring rolls with crispy leeks.

Visited here with my husband after reading very good reviews. One of the reviews said the food was 'Michelin star quality'. Unfortunately I can only assume that reviewer has never eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant because it was no where near the quality or...More

replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here

I am lactose intolerant & the staff were very helpful. The set menu is very small but I managed to find enough to eat that was lactose free. There is a larger choice if you eat a la carte.

I'm so sorry, for some reason I didn't see your question till June 2018. Andrew's answer is correct, and I second the opinion that it is well worth a visit. Apologies for my non-reply until now.

Hi, I assume you meant to send this to the restaurant. I don't know if they do a pre theatre menu but would be surprised if they didn't given the proximity to the Kings. Hope you enjoy
