There's lots to say about David Bann that is good. It's a long established, reliable vegetarian restaurant, spacious, comfortable, with good, attentive service from the staff. We went on a busy Saturday night and practically every table was taken - and it had been extended...More

Warm but roomy, this space really had a great setting. The food was great (as many others have mentioned, definitely vegetarian friendly) and service was awesome as well.

A lovely warm atmosphere, quick and efficient service, and delicious food that came well-presented and packed with flavour. What's more, the cost at the end of the night was so much lower than we expected. We can't wait to come back to Edinburgh just to...More

We really loved this restaurant. So much veggie food to choose from- beautifully cooked and presented. It was reasonably priced too. Tuesday evening and the place was well full so would recommend you book in advance. Our only complaint- this restaurant isn't based in Birmingham!...More

we came here for lunch on a weekend and didn't have a booking and got a table fine. there's so many good things on the menu so it was hard to choose! our favourite was the aubergine, chickpea and cashew koftas.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

I went without a reservation but that was a Tuesday evening and there were only a couple of tables free, I would recommend booking.
